ixcuincle
Not at all Internet = Facebook Internet = forums I don't know what I'd do without internet, which would go in hand with the modern technologies here. Maybe I'd watch TV more. I remember when my computer broke in college and I had to mail it in. I was watching so much cable.
pjfootballer
The obsessiveness that people have is what gets to me. I'm in here a lot at work (while still getting my work done), but I can put the phone down. I dont need to have it in my hand while driving, I don't get bored easily in the doctors waiting room and if we're out with friends or family I can put it down. I just saw on the news this morning that a guy here in Charlotte will face charges because he hit another car head on while texting. His 13 month old daughter died and he critically injured his wife and people in the other car on Christmas Day. Want to know what he was texting that was so god damn important? Merry Chistmas. He was responding to a text.

Chew
Man, one thing I do hate about the internet age is how people meet. I know we have to change with the times, and technology makes it easier than ever to meet people. But as a teen in the mid-90s, it actually took some balls to meet chicks, because all you had was a pen. One had to scrounge up the courage to approach a girl at the mall or on the street, often times in front of her friends. She's watching you walk towards her, so you had to put on a little swag on your way over. Then say something to make her laugh or impress her to get her interest, and then ask for her number and write it down. You had to be quick-witted to comeback if she challenged you with something. Now a days, these little bammas just sent facebook messages or twitter. They have time to think about what they want to say before they have to respond. dudes have no game man. I think if my wife and I really worked in trying to find a win-win I'd use the internet less and she'd have all the attention she needed.

We men, even married guys like myself, need a little "creep" time on the internet every now and then. LOL

Bang
i never understand how we relate the miracle machines we have developed as a sign of our depravity. (Other than that they are often used to get porn) these devices are amazing.. people communicate now more than ever, (My kid talks to his friends WAY more than I ever did. ) it makes business much more smooth, it FANTASTICALLY enables entrepreneurship... and yet it's the curmudgeony thing to sneer down our noses at it. (Not you in this case, TWA, you're just posting the picture.) Our generations developed the technology for future generations to build on and make their lives better,, presumably that is the goal of almost all human endeavor, no? ~Bang
