Wyndorf25
Nabbing OG Nelson this late is about as likely as RB Barkley falling to pick 13, but it is what is. Imagine an O-line with OTs Williams and Moses, OGs Scherff and Nelson along with Cs Long (starter) and Roullier (starting calibur backup). Oline would be SET for the next few years, IMO DT Harrison would probably be better suited as a DE but would be a quality rotational piece with Ionnidis. RB Michel should push for the starting RB position...easily. WR Cain is a speedy and lengthy WR who would pair well with Doctson in terms of skill sets...Cain can be a deep threat based on speed and the two of them would make for attractive tall, targets in the red-zone I like TE Shultz as a blocking TE and as a potential clutch pass catcher on third down. Wyndorf25
I would be so stoked if OG Nelson fell to the Redskins at #13. An argument could be made that strengthening the middle of the O-line would do more to jump start the running game than just plugging in a new RB. But if the Redskins could do both... I'm all in on Alex Smith at QB and I think he will be a solid starter for the Redskins for the next few years. However, nabbing Lamar Jackson in the 2nd round, after a trade-back was simply to much value to pass up. RB Guice should become the the type of 3-down back that this offence needs. CB Jackson should be a fine substitute for the loss of Fuller as a slot-CB. TE Schultz and WR Coutee could become special skill players in the offense for years to come. Both add a good dose of speed to their respective positions. Wyndorf25
Only a grade of "A" for nabbing Derwin James at pick 19 after trading back? Whatever. Grabbing a first round talent in TE Goedert seems like a smart play considering Reed is a concussion away from retiring and Davis is like 45 or something, plus with the extra 2nd round pick earned by trading back in round 1 grabbing RB Michel was a nice get IMO (again though, only an A- grade is a bit of a slap, but I still like the player). Wyndorf25
Getting Vea at #17 (assuming nothing transpires with FA Hankins) would be a HUGE COUP IMO. SS Harrison seemed like decent value in the second round and would either become a starting SS while Swearinger manned the FS or at the very least add some great depth to the Safety position. I love RB Michel. C Cole could start at Center and possibly move Roullier to OG. QB Falk could become a valuable backup QB and WRs Coutee (I am FRIMLY in his fan-club) and Tate should vastly improve the speed and depth at WR. skins2victory
Regardless of the grades, I would be thrilled with this draft. In this Scenario we trade down with Cleveland. Our number 13 overall, for their round 2 picks 1,3, and 32. We get the RB that many believe would be a game changer with our first selection. We get a C/OG that would instantly upgrade our interior OL. (According to others in the draft thread, we have meet with Price several times. So he is likely on the radar.) I traded down from round 2 pick 32, for 3rd rounders 4 and 34. I took Settle with that 4th pick in the 3rd, which they only give a B+ for, but many think he can be a solid NT. Between Settle and the Fatukasi pick who I am very high on, I would feel good about the interior D line. Tomsula would coach these guys up, and I would be willing to bet our run defense takes a huge step up this year. This draft fixes all the glaring holes, and I feel we would be ready to complete with the best of them. Wyndorf25
I would be ABSOLUTELY thrilled with this draft haul!!! I LOVE my first four picks (even though First-Pick graded me low for them). Coming out with FS James, C/OG Price, RB Chubb and DT Settle with my first four picks would be AWESOME!!! TE Fumagalli would be a great backup in the TE group. If RBs Perine, Chubb and Scarbrough can't be the "bangers" that Gruden is looking for then who can? WRs Moore and Coutee add size and deep speed respectively to the WR group. Wyndorf25
OK, I don't know what First-Pick has against Safety Derwin James, but I would be thrilled to get him even at 13, let alone pick 17 or later. S James, C/OG Price, RB Michel and TE Hurst with the first 4 picks? Sign me up!!! I did feel compelled to address the D-line early in round 5 with Folorunso, but I don't feel like that pick was forced. And yes, I am FIRMLY on the WR Coutee fan-train! ( I would be happy if he was the Redskins' 5th round pick) Your score is: 23406 (GRADE: A+) Your Picks:Round 1 Pick 17 (LAC): James, Derwin, SS/FS, Florida State (A)Round 2 Pick 13 (G.B.): Price, Billy, C/OG, Ohio State (A+)Round 2 Pick 16 (LAC): Michel, Sony, RB, Georgia (A-)Round 4 Pick 1 (G.B.): Hurst, Hayden, TE, South Carolina (A+)Round 4 Pick 9: Dawson, Duke, CB, Florida (A+)Round 5 Pick 5: Fatukasi, Folorunso, DT, Connecticut (A+)Round 5 Pick 26: Ateman, Marcell, WR, Oklahoma State (A)Round 6 Pick 14: Haynes, Marquis, OLB/DE, Mississippi (A+)Round 7 Pick 13: Nickerson, Parry, CB, Tulane (A+)Round 7 Pick 23: Coutee, Keke, WR, Texas Tech (A+)Your Future Picks: 2019 Round 1 Pick2020 Round 1 Pick How You Matched Up: 1.
