BillyKilmer
http://www.csnwashington.com/football-washington-redskins/redskins-talk/report-big-tuna-not-headed-to-the-big-ea?blockID=686330&feedID=10316 Looks the New Orleans Saints are still fishing for a plan when it comes to finding a head coaching replacement for the suspended Sean Payton. The Big Tuna is not coming to the bayou. Bill Parcells reportedly will not come out of retirement to join a Saints coaching staff devastated by the suspension handed out by the NFL over bounty-gate. The Super Bowl winning coach was quickly mentioned as a potential replacement when the NFL handed down a one-year suspension to Payton, who recently lost his appeal. Check out Pro Football Talk for more insight into where the Saints might go from here.
pjfootballer
Good. I think he should stay retired and they should pick an assistant on the staff.
roanoker
If not a person on staff, it will be interesting to see who will be willing to come in to coach for one year. If that person is successful in pulling the team together, it will be equally interesting to see if the Saints will still stand behind Peyton. 88Comrade2000
The Saints will be a non-factor in 2012. You can bank on them going 7-9 or worse this season. I fully expect Brees to hold out if he doesn't get a contract by training camp. Also, the coming suspensions to Saints players will hurt the defense in 2012. It wouldn't shock me that in Jan. 2013 Benson decides to clean house and fires the GM and entire coaching staff, including the suspended Sean Payton. SkinsGuy
Parcells is getting pretty old now. There is really nothing in it for him to babysit someone else's team while they ride out a suspension. A team that may not be very good with a depleted defense (due to impending suspensions) and a disgruntled franchise QB. I don't blame him for staying retired. He doesn't have anything to prove. Hitman21ST
Spags goes from being head coach in St. Louis, to D.C. in N'awlins, to Head Coach in N'awlins all in a span of about 5 months (assuming he becomes head coach). The funny thing is, he would have been in a better position had he been able to stay in St. Louis
