Several respected Kennedy biographers have come out and said she is probably telling the truth. A 2003 biography mentions "a tall, slender, beautiful 19-year-old college sophomore and White House intern, who worked in the press office" that Kennedy was schtupping, and that based on that, people tracked her down.
