Champskins
After a failed stint in D.C. as a second-round pick, receiver Devin Thomas found a niche as a kick returner with the Giants. But now Thomas has lost his job. He hasn’t been cut (yet), but he found out on Wednesday that he’ll no longer be returning kicks. According to Ebenezer Samuel and Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, Thomas learned the news when he checked the depth chart on Wednesday. “It’s a reality check,” Thomas said. “It checks your pride, but I’m going to bounce back.” Per the report, Thomas had been struggling with catching the ball cleanly. After a muff in the third quarter of Sunday’s eventual win over the Patriots, Thomas was replaced by Jerrel Jernigan. For now, the duties will be performed by D.J. Ware and Da’Rel Scott. Thomas was the 34th overall pick in the 2008 draft. I'm thankful for this past draft... just please do not let our top picks go to guys like this anymore! :beatdeadhorse:

Boss_Hogg
So if he's not returning kicks then what value does he have? He's taking up space on the bench, just cut his butt already.

WhoRUSupposed2Be
I don't feel bad for the bamma... the Giants are winning inspite of him, not because of him and quite frankly, he's no Patrick Petterson

Stophovr6
Hate to break it to you Devin, but you will not bounce back. You probably wont be on an NFL roster next year.
Tom [Giants fan]
He actually started out strong when he first came to the Giants. He seems to have lost his desire or burst when returning kickoffs. He runs into the piles instead of away from them. It is almost like he lost his vision to see holes. Another reason the Giants are doing this is because they want to find ways to get the ball into the hands of Da'Rel Scott. Thomas is also on other special teams but I'm not sure how long he is going to have a roster spot.
BlueinBuf
I'll be pissed if I see Ware returning kicks over Scott.

Mr. Sinister
NFLN needs to do a "Top 10 Worst Draft Classes" list. I'm pretty sure we'd be near the top. Thanks again, Vinny.
Destructis
So if he's not returning kicks then what value does he have? He's taking up space on the bench, You say this like it's a bad thing. I am all for the Giants keeping him on the roster as dead space.
ouvan59
NFLN needs to do a "Top 10 Worst Draft Classes" list. I'm pretty sure we'd be near the top. Thanks again, Vinny. That wouldn't even hold a candle to some of Charlie Casserly's drafts. Also take a look at Jerrah's drafts post Jimmah.
