Bill Parcells told him before the draft he'd never be a starting TE and they'd draft him in the late rounds as a STer if he was available. So much for that. Mr. Jones
Yep, we traded up to get him that year. Bill Parcells told him before the draft he'd never be a starting TE and they'd draft him in the late rounds as a STer if he was available. So much for that. At that point the Cowboys already had Witten, and Cooley isn't a good enough blocker to ever start for Parcells. Still a hell of a tight end though. pjfootballer
1) Cowboys hyped by ESPN/Jerrrah to win SB, but don't win it. 2) Giants ownership finally finds Hoffa's body in parking Lot 2 3) Eagles fans boo Chuck Bednarik because he couldn't win another title after 1960 4) Redskins finish 4th in the NFC East yet again 5) Ralph Wilson dies and leaves the team to his pet Chuahua! Hiro
NFC East Related: 1. The second the Cowboys get on any streak, ESPN will start touting them as Super Bowl cotenders. 2. Michael Vick will NOT repeat his 2010 performance. 3. Laron Landry (if healthy) will have an All-Pro season and make the Pro Bowl. 4. The Redskins will play better and show growth, but will not make the playoffs. 5. Eli Manning will continue to be a turnover machine. All NFL: 1. Carson Palmer will end up playing for a new team. 2. The Vikings will be at the basement of the NFC North. 3. The Steelers will have a classic Super Bowl loss hangover season. 4. James Harrison will get suspended at some point. 5. Cam Newton will have a Vince Young type of rookie season.

jflow78
Okay, here are my guarantees: I guarantee Asomugha will NOT be a Cowboy. I guarantee that Dallas will be forced to make some PAINFUL cuts and their roster will get worse this season. Thank you Professor: "Dallas Cowboys -- The late Gene Upshaw used to say in times of labor trouble, no one protects his team's talent base better than Jerry Jones. Jones has always locked up his best players to give his team the best chance of winning. But the Cowboys are roughly $18.9 million over a $120 million cap, and they will have to make some player sacrifices. Cutting wide receiver Roy Williams, right tackle Marc Colombo and running back Marion Barber would be easy decisions, but not so fast. Their combined salaries are $12.259 million, but those three players have more than $27 million in signing bonus proration. They might create too much dead money against the cap to get under." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=6749994 The best part is in red. They'll be stuck with Marion Barber, Roy Williams, and Marc Colombo who's HUGE contracts are killing them, and whose play is slowly getting worse. I'm curious as to where they will find that extra money (aka who they WILL be cutting). This also completely locks them out of the BIG FA races because they'll still be trying to cut players while everyone else is making signings. They have totally ******* themselves. Probably one of my favorite articles of the entire off-season.
SWFLSkins
1.The Cowboys win the SuperBowl. 2. The Cowboys win the SuperBowl. 3. The Cowboys win the SuperBowl. 4. The Cowboys win the SuperBowl. 5. The Cowboys win the SuperBowl. I am just repeating what I read/heard. What I think....... The Cowboys implode under Garrett, and Jerry has trouble figuring out the new cap and cuts then signs all the wrong players. The Giants play well enough to win the NFCE, the Eagles not so much. The Skins show improvement and miss the playoffs at 8-8 or 9-7. Giants, Skins, Eagles and the Girls.
jflow78
Not a chance. How about this one: Someone will get Colt McCoy confused with Colt Brennan and inevitably make a thread about how we should have kept him because he's playing so well for Cleveland. brdawk20
1. The Eagles will win the NFCE, but once again fail to win a SB 2. The Cowboys will finish last in the East 3. Aaron Rogers becomes the next Tom Brady 4. Skins fans will make about 300 threads detailing the suckage of Casey Rabach 5. The western divisions in both conferences will again stink
