All In
Bostic reported on the sideline that he talked to the trainer, said it's dislocated Knee cap and torn ligament(s). Probably out for the year.

Art
This hurts us for several reasons. Edwards wants a nose tackle. A guy who can run over the center and force doubles. We don't have a guy we know can fill that role without Noble. And if we don't have a guy who can stand up to doubles, the whole defense changes, and not for the better. bulldog
with Noble out and Upshaw uncertain the Skins might need to make 2 moves, instead of one. Cannida is a guy that is probably not going to make it. I don't see him giving the Skins anything they need. One trade for a capable DT and then perhaps moving Wynn inside on a part time basis. If L. Jackson can step up and fill the rush specialist role on the left side when Wynn slides, all may not be lost
Bang
GO DEL COWSETTE! Remember,, he's my dark horse pick from another thread. Make the trade with the Broncos. You know, I noticed that as soon as Noble got hurt, Watson became our RB. Wonder if that was to feature him for trade bait? ~Bang
Skeletor The Invincible
Yes, we will be forced to make some moves, which we all knew we had to do anyway.
Tom [Giants fan]
I know this has been brought up before by someone here but doesn't it make sense now to go to a 3-4 for the Skins? Not that I want this because the Giants can't play the 3-4 but it does make sense for you guys.

Noble was the only guy capable of playing nose in a 3-

bulldog
well, if we are showcasing Watson or Betts it is not for a trade with Denver for Dalton
Skins26
Guys instead of thinking of possible trades. Did anyone take enough time to notice that as soon as Noble went out we started stopping the run a little bit better. Also we started getting pressure up the middle a little more. DEL COWSETTE looked really good. He was an animal, both stopping the run and getting pressure. I dont understand whats wrong with this guy that everyone is looking around him. SkinsLegacy44
Good point Skins26. We just don't have any confidence in the D-line. It's hard to think that we have sufficient talent to stop the run & get a decent pass rush together
Guest SkinsHokie Fan
I noticed that too. With the exception of the big play after Noble went down the defense played better and held the Patriots. Del Cowsette did look good.

Noble got hurt in the FIRST quarter, I know because I was in the endzone where he got carted off I do think maybe watson was put in there to show off, but Betts isn't ready so can we get rid of watson right now?? I don't think so. Especially after Sultan do terrible up the middle.

Noble got hurt in the FIRST quarter, I know because I was in the endzone where he got carted off That's a complete falsehood. Watson was most definitely out there in the 1st quarter, dropping passes along with all our other dropsy receivers. I didnt go to the game, but I didnt need to, to know that. The fact that you were in the endzone in the 1st quarter when Noble was carted off, how does that assure you that Watson didnt come in until the 2nd half ? If anything you were more likely to miss him from your end zone seat. He was probably playing on the other side of the field in the 1st quarter when you missed him. Brave
I checked on the stats at halftime and I thought it said Watson was our leading rusher at that point.
