The best moment in today's game...

The bomb to Moss. I didn't know if Campbell was still capable of throwing long.

Actually, I'd point out that the TV guys kept pointing out, over and over again, how our WRs just weren't open for the whole game, and how the Bucs were keeping 2 safeties back because they were scared of the deep threat.

(Why we couldn't run better, if that were true, I dunno.)

Pffft. I didnt do that. Anyone who does is gonna enjoy a long hard fall back to reality when we play a half decent team.

I disagree, it might be because the team actually came together and became a team. I don't know but you could feel the fight. Yeah they stink to high hell but maybe they can turn it around.

Remember that you're talking about the redskins fanbase. It doesn't take a lot to get us high about the team

Lol that nail to the Ref's head looks something like from the Longest Yard when Adam Sandler's character nailed the ref's balls twice during the big game.

That part of "The Longest Yard" was inspired by Sammy Baugh. When the defender would tackle Baugh, he would scratch and gouge at his eyes. He told the Offensive line to lay off the guy. When he rushed the next time, Baugh knocked the guy out with a bullet pass to the head (not to the balls, though)

Speaking of trying to find positives...here's this from Redskins PR

The Redskins have allowed their opponents less than 28 points in a game 26 straight times, the longest streak in the NFL. Atlanta is next on the list with 19 games. Washington has not allowed more than 30 points in 27 consecutive contests, more than twice as many as second-place Minnesota (12).

The Redskins have won at least two of their first four games for the fifth straight season.

The win was the Redskins’ third straight at FedExField. Washington is 9-3 at FedExField versus non-divisional opponents since the beginning of the 2007 season. Additionally, in their first quarter of the last three seasons, the Redskins have won their last seven home games against non-divisional opponents.

With a six-yard run in the second quarter, Clinton Portis moved past Hall of Famer Earl Campbell (9,385) for 26th on the NFL’s all-time rushing list.

Wide Receiver Santana Moss’s 59-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter was the 18th catch of his career to cover at least 50 yards. Thirteen of them have gone for touchdowns, including one each in the past two games.

Before Moss accomplished the feat today, the last Redskin player to have touchdown receptions of 50 or more yards in consecutive games was wide receiver Gary Clark on Dec. 6 and Dec.13, 1987.

London Fletcher has now played in 180 straight contests, tied for the second-most in the NFL (excluding specialists) with Tampa Bay’s Ronde Barber and Indianapolis’ Peyton Manning. The trio trails only Minnesota’s Brett Favre, who has played in 274 consecutive games.

With his start today, linebacker Fletcher has now opened 139 straight contests. It is the fourth-longest streak among active players, behind Favre (273), Manning (180) and Barber (155).

Redskins guard Derrick Dockery played in his 100th consecutive game and started his 97th in a row.

With his start today, Redskins tight end Chris Cooley has now opened 68 straight games, the longest streak among NFL tight ends. He has played in 84 straight contests since entering the league in 2004.

With his reception in the first quarter, Cooley has now made a reception in 76 consecutive games.

With a five-yard completion to Ladell Betts in the first quarter, Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell broke a tie with Gus Frerotte (744) to take sole possession of sixth-place on the Redskins all-time completions list.

With a 15-yard completion to Santana Moss in the second quarter, Jason Campbell moved past Eddie LaBaron (8,068) into eighth on the Redskins all-time passing yards list.

Shaun Suisham’s first-quarter 31-yard punt in relief of the injured Hunter Smith, was the first of his career.

Redskins cornerback Justin Tryon’s second-quarter sack of Josh Johnson was the first of his NFL career.

For me, the most interesting moment was watching an entire fanbase go from 'this is the worst team EVER!' to 'this is the BEST team in history!' after one long touchdown pass. It's almost as if that one pass completely erased ever single thing that happened before it. Interesting..

uhh hello, you didn't know ES members were all bipolar?

when Campbell nailed that ref on the head. I watched it maybe 5 times and it was hilarious. The way he slowly fell... trying to keep his balance and dignity but failing. Epic.

I did feel kinda bad for the ref but its a hazard of the job. He shook it off lol

That hit also showcases Campbell's amazing accuracy :D

So if anyone happened to record the game if they can put that little nugget up on youtube I would appreciate it.

wow, im lovin the sig bro. and yes, that was one of the funniest things i have ever seen. i missed most of the rest of that quarter because i was rolling around on the ground laughing

Exaggerate much? I don't believe anyone felt like that, and you accuse the entire fanbase. Interesting...

Haha, I agree with you .Guy. My brother and I were pretty much rolling on the floor after seeing that. Thank God for TiVo, we watched it a good 10 times.

Other than that, I liked the fact that we ran right today...does that count?

And the deep pass to Moss was lovely, the Hall pick was nice, Fletcher's consistency is always a joy, "the strip" was fabulous....these little nuggests of joy are the "happy place" memories I try to hold onto when times are tough, kinda like now.
