Mickalino
sad part about it is that the money will be gone in a year or two. He's buying a house, that's cool. Hopefully he'll be able to pay the taxes and insurance in a few years. He should've got 10 million. Maybe he should move to St Pete instead, get a better deal on a house, and have some money leftover
Popeman38
38?? 38 innocence people that have bee incarcerated for crimes they didn't commit? man what the #%^* is wrong with our judicial system. This is really gonna sound bad, but 38 over 10 years isn't bad. But we are talking at least 25 years. That is 1.52/year. Out of minimum 300,000 (swag). Think about that. What percent error is allowed? And how many guilty suspects walked away? That is just as bad a miscarriage of justice.
AsburySkinsFan
I'm sure this guy isn't the first innocent man to go to prison. Is this some sort of excuse, or ploy to down play the seriousness of convicting an innocent person? Because that's what it sounds like.

Pope, you aren't telling the whole truth here, the 38 are just those who've been exonerated by DNA evidence, how many others are there innocently that don't have DNA evidence to set them free? Our justice system is broken and our solution is "build more prisons".
WVUforREDSKINS
$8.90 per hour he spent in jail.I think I'd need a lot more. Agreed. Some of you may remember my thread about a month and a half ago. Its crazy that **** like this happens to people. This guy should never have to work a day in his life if he chooses. KNGwithOUTaCrwN
No amount of money can buy valuable years wasted in prison. exactly, living out your life is something that cannot be traded for money. he spent so much time in there when he couldve been doing so much more, like he was supposed to. but thats still not enough money IMO. techboy
Our justice system is broken and our solution is "build more prisons". That argument seems awfully kneejerk and out of place here. The man was wrongfully convicted for rape and robbery, but he wasn't given the death penalty. Surely you're not suggesting that people who are convicted of rape and robbery shouldn't be sent to prison for a long time?
