mistertim
Where'd you hear that?I dont buy it. A guy taken that high in the draft has to be an every down type of player, not a pass rushing specialist. That is an every down player. Same thing with Everette Brown if we were to pick him up. Same thing we did with MW for a while. Sometimes he is in as a rush LB, sometimes he has his hand in the dirt, sometimes we drop him back as an LB into a zone blitz or coverage to misdirect the offense. Versatility to create mismatches is huge. However, I think Orakpo has mostly played 4-3 in a three point stance, whereas Brown has played out of a three point and two point (as well as even playing inside every once in a while). I wouldn't mind either of them though.
BRAVEONAWARPATH
Wow, thanks for the info - I was obviously wrong. I've watched Orakpo play quite a bit and never thought he had the skill set to be a base backer in a 4-3. Shows what I know  Unfortunately, I don't think he's going to be available at 13. HRNY4ZRNY
The more I think about it the more I realize that Raji would make me more happy than haynesworth. Man this team is screwed. So many holes. OL-DL-LB-WR and possibly CB if we dont retain Hall

HRNY4ZRNY
That D would be SICK!!! I agree maybe we should just focus on defense this year and try to get a Ravens-Steelers type of D. Maybe a Defense that could generate some points. I would like to be dominant on one side of the ball and since we are closer on D lets go all in. Maybe next year is when we draft alot of Offensive Lineman.

HRNY4ZRNY
Defense: S Laron Landry, Chris Horton LB- Fletcher, Mcintosh, Maualuga DL- Evans, Haynesworth, Griffen, Carter CB- Hall, Rogers Offense: QB Jason Campbell, RB/FB Portis, Sellars WR/TE Santana Moss, Devin Thomas, Chris Cooley OL Chris Samuels, Derrick Dockery, C. Rabach, Stephon Heyor, RandyThomas I guess my plan would mean not really addressing O Line this year. Trying to get one last year of production from our guys now plus Dockery. We have so many holes to fill it just wont get done this year. Get a couple OL late round picks in the draft and coach them up. Hopefully atleast one hits and we will have decent depth there. Go all out on Defense, Haynesworth and Maualuga would be solid additions. Rey will take over for Fletch when he leaves. This will not be a team that will score a ton of points. Hopefully we could get more turnovers that will help us and maybe we could get some Defensive TD's. Bottom Line is we cannot fill all the holes this year. So lets build our Defense so it is a force. Hopefully our offense would be good for around 14 pts a game and our D could get us some points. Next year we draft heavy when it comes to O line. And pick up a RB in the draft. We could try to be more creative on offense. I.E. Randle El in the wildcat. He would be perfect for this. We play Broncos, Chargers, Raiders and the Cheifs this year. Last I checked they dont have dominant Defenses so our Offense could possibly get the job done. We'll thats my plan call it idiotic but I think it would be best for this season. Lets be DOMINANT on DEFENSE!
Forehead
Assuming restructuring and all that works out so this isn't over the cap. Offense: Campbell - QB Portis - RB Moss - WR1 Thomas - WR2 Kelly - Slot/Red Zone Cooley - TE Samuels - LT Kendall - LG Rabach - C Thomas - RG Oher - RT Defense: Carter - LDE Griffin - DT Montgomery - DT Canty - RDE June - SLB Fletcher - MLB McIntosh - WLB Hall - CB Rogers - CB Landry - SS Springs - FS Obviously, I have us taking Oher at #13 and signing Canty to replace Daniels/Evans. I also would like us to take a run at Cato June, just released by the Bucs. He's 29, wouldn't cost too much to bring in, and he's a local product, from Anacostia high school, so he might be excited to play for the hometown team. I think he could be a good fill-in, allowing us to wait a year/two to draft a linebacker, while concentrating on our O-Line. Release Taylor for cap room, do not sign Haynesworth. Resign Hall, START rogers opposite him, and move Springs to FS. I'm not as high on Horton as some others are, but I think moving Springs there would allow Landry to move up to SS, where he likes to play. Forehead
Also, I'd like to point out that at least one person, maybe more, has Channing Crowder listed. I believe he has already resigned with the Dolphins. Ditto Vernon Carey, so take him out of your lineups. Also, did I see that someone has Dante Hall as one of our DB's? Man, some people really need to learn the first names of our players.

GroundNPound
QB - Campbell RB - Portis FB - Sellers WRs - 1.Moss, 2.Thomas/Kelly(one Steps up), 3.ARE(wil be great slot WR) TE - Cooley C - Rabach Guards - Thomas, Dockery (brought back for a reasonable price) Tackles - Samuels, Andre Smith (1st round pick... would be a steal at 13) DEs - Taylor, Carter DTs - Griffin, Chris Canty (should cost almost half as much as Haynes) LBs - Fletcher, Rocky, Angelo Crowell (good bang for the buck FA) CBs: Hall and Los Safeties - SS:Horton/Moore FS - Landry I would be happy with that setup

HRNY4ZRNY
OK check out my first post on my starting lineup. I knew we would get Haynesworth. Thats not such a tough prediction I know... Now I reiderate we are going to get Maualuga at 13 if he is there and I think he will be. This in my mind is a great choice. He will replace Washington for the time and learn from Fletcher who will still be MLB. When Fletch leaves Maualuga will slide over to MLB. Think of it! Haynesworth will make blitzing lans for him! Offensive lines will be addressed by getting Dockery and using the remaining draft picks 3rd and 5th I think. People ARE DEFENSE is going to be outstanding. We will not select O line at 13 we will not Trade to get more picks. We will get a LB at 13...
ChiefPowhatan17
Taylor, Haynesworth, Griffen, Carter Orakpo, Fletcher, McIntosh Hall, Horton, Landry, Rogers Samuels, Dockery, Racbach, Thomas, Heyer Cooley, Portis, Campbell, Sellers Moss, Thomas, 3rd (Kelly) Now we just need to draft Orakpo, if he is gone get Maualuga. We could also use a OT, but SLB is more of a glaring whole with no starter.

Kpayn17
I can't agree with Rey. As much as I'd love to have him, it will be easier for our D to over up or LB and DE problems than it will to cover up our Oline problems. We need to go OT no matter what. Gibbs Hog Heaven
\Blades did not play fine. He's short and slow. That's not a good combination. Being undersized sure hasn't hindered London Fletcher in his career, and Blades is just a little smaller than him. I think your maybe's being a little harsh on what was a second year player last year, still finding his pro feet. I wouldn't worry too much about HB being undersized, he's a tough little dude. His size was the main reason he fell so low in the draft, along with a hammi injury, or else he'd of been one of the first LB's taken given his college career. Is he good enough to start already? Time will tell, but unless we show our faith in our own players we draft and develop and give them a chance, how will we ever know? Hail.
Never4get#21
So many Possibilities and anyone would be nice. Take Rey would solidify our LB core. Take E. Brown would improve the DL with young stud DE. Take A. Smith would solidify or OL at RT for years. My guess at this point would be: Defense Laron Landry, Chris Horton Rocky Mcintosh, London Fletcher, Late FA always a few fall do to cap space or other reasons. Andre Carter, Albert Haynesworth, Anthony Montgomery, Draft Pick(3rd Micheal Johnson/Will Davis) D' angelo Hall, Carlos Rogers Offense Jason Campbell, Clinton Portis, Mike Sellers Santana Moss, Devin Thomas, Chris Cooley Chris Samuels, Derrick Dockery, Casey Rabach, Randy Thomas, Andre Smith (13) Too much talent to overlook if he falls.
