HRNY4ZRNY
OK so Haynesworth is most likely a Redskin... Lets say for the sake of argument we keep Jason Taylor and he takes a paycut, restructures or whatever. Other than offensive line and Linebacker what other positions would you like to see addressed? WR? CB? RB?
Always A Commander Never A Captain
Samuels, Kendall, Saturday, Thomas, St. Clair Woooow...what does this do? Make our o-line EVEN older and crappier. St. Clair sucks, he was supposed to play Guard for the Bears but Chris Williams got injured.
Always A Commander Never A Captain
LT-SamuelsLG-Jason Brown C-Rabach RG-Thomas RT-Fahkir Brown I'm confused. Why? Jason Brown is much better at C than G. Why do you want Fahkir Brown?

skinsfanjoe
I don't want anything to do with another overrated OSU LB. Wasn't Katzenmoyer supposed to be the white Ray Lewis? How about Bobby Carpenter? How about Chris Spielman? AJ Hawk? Katzenmoyer had a career ending neck injury and nobody expected Carpenter to be a great anyway. SkinsTribeVA
I want the Skins to do something different every week but here's where I stand right now... Either draft or find a DT in FA who can collapse the pocket and rotate in Daniels for run support with our other DT's. Get Chris Canty, resign Hall, cut/trade Springs. Keep J.Taylor around for one more year and try to get some use out of him as a DE/OLB/quarterback-killer (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe allowing him to retire after next season would be better for cap space than cutting him now--but restructure this year if possible). Draft a T to play RT. Offense: Samuels, Rinehardt/later round draft pick, Rabach, Thomas, draft pick Cooley, Davis/Yoder (rotate based on situation) Campbell Portis, Sellers Santana, MalcomB/Devin (position battle in camp), El in the slot Defense: Carter, pocket-collapsing DT, Daniels/Griff, Canty/Taylor McCintosh, Fletch, draft pick/Taylor Hall, Rogers, Smoot in nickel Landry, Horton We'll have Heyer and Montgomery as solid depth players on both lines. Get some competition in camp for K, P, and PR. With #13 keep our fingers crossed for Ray Mauluga or Andre Smith to fall to us, if not then try to trade back. Glockypoo
Why are people putting Orakpo at SLB? I havent heard him mentioned as anything other than a DE, especially in a 4-3.
BRAVEONAWARPATH
Why are people putting Orakpo at SLB? I havent heard him mentioned as anything other than a DE, especially in a 4-3. Because the Skins envision him as a SLB who can rush the passer from the DE position on 3rd down.
Glockypoo
Because the Skins envision him as a SLB who can rush the passer from the DE position on 3rd down. Where'd you hear that? I dont buy it. A guy taken that high in the draft has to be an every down type of player, not a pass rushing specialist.

A guy taken that high in the draft has to be an every down type of player, not a pass rushing specialist. http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/redskins/2009/Feb/21/orakpo-meets-redskins/ Texas defensive end/linebacker/play maker Brian Orakpo was just at the podium here in Indianapolis and he said he met with the Redskins last night. The Redskins told him they envision him as a strong-side linebacker in their base 4-3 defense and then as a pass rusher on throwing downs. He measured 6-foot-3 and 263 pounds and will do defensive line and linebacker workouts later this week.
Glockypoo
http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/redskins/2009/Feb/21/orakpo-meets-redskins/ Wow, thanks for the info - I was obviously wrong. I've watched Orakpo play quite a bit and never thought he had the skill set to be a base backer in a 4-3. Shows what I know
