TSO
It's not so much the argument that Hall is better than Torrence, but is Tryon better than Torrence. You have 5 CB's bring in a guy that is better than say, 3 of them (Smoot, Torence and Tryon). So, you'd think you'd cut the worst of the bunch (Tryon), upgrading 3 positions in doing so. Say Rodgers and Springs are your 1 and 2, Hall is your Nickle, Smoot is you Dime and Torrence is your Ennergency guy. Pretty good 4th corner if you need him, especially when you know guys like Springs and Smoot get nicked. Honestly, could you be any deeper? But, you you do is still keep Tryon, who at this point can carry Torrence's jock. With Smoot and Springs iffy, you still might see Tryon. And lets face it, if scrubs that are out of the NFL can make him look like a high school player, a #3 or 4 guys will eat him for lunch. The only guy who made Tryon look like a High School player was Matt Jones for the Jags. The Jags relentlessly attacked Tryon and we had him matched up against one of the biggest WRs in the league. We were purposefully leaving Tryon one-on-one with him so he could learn and improve. I don't think we'd ever do that during the season. I'll be the first to admit Tryon looked pretty below average during the preseason no matter who he was coverin, but to say "scrubs made him look like a High School player" is a big stretch. Matt Jones has been successful against very good CBs this season; let's not overstate him beating an undersized rookie CB consistently as something to bash Tryon with. That's just going too far. westcoasthog
He was talking to a Cowboys fan who was excited that Hall was with us and not with the Girls. Oh...well then I'm an azz! And it was my post that was a waste. That's what I get for being a smart mouth!

When it's a 50-50 call, you keep the guy who's younger, and a WHOLE lot faster.
SkinsFTW
We still gonna win though. Yeah, like the one in Dallas, right?

jrfriedm
That was doc, but he's right. Torrence isn't good enough. I'm sorry, but Hall is better than Torrence plain and simple. That is an understatment.

BigMike21
Honestly, he sounds a lot more well-spoken than I excpected. I haven't posted about it before, but I wasn't excited about the signing at first. Maybe it won't be so bad.
darrelgreenie
He is on the show right now talking with Doc Walker. So far he is excited to be here, says he has a chip on his shoulder and what better team to take it out on than Dallas. He said he'll run down on kickoff coverage if they ask him, that's he ready to help the team. It sounds like he has the right attitude. Lets go D-Lo!! akorn22
We are excited for him to be there also. Hall is probably better then any of your healthy defensive backs. and he's only our 4th corner
BigMike619
that should quiet the moans and cries about cutting Torrence... if he was so good, some team would have picked him up by now funny, you said that yesterday and today he signs with NO.
