A British Royal Air Force pilot flies alongside to guide him to a safe landing. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2008/nov/07/military :notworthy
Dan T.
Holy crap. What an amazing story. Both the stricken pilot and the RAF guy that guided him down are heroes in my book.

Scottish my fellow. If you had said British pilot, it would be ok still. Apologies but that's something I always have to correct.

Corcaigh
Wowowow!Scottish my fellow. The article said flying home to Essex - where did you get Scottish from? Does going on holiday north of Hadrian's Wall make you Scottish?
scottishskinsfan
The article said flying home to Essex - where did you get Scottish from? Does going on holiday north of Hadrian's Wall make you Scottish? The guy is Glaswegian and on the BBC news. Might be flying home there but he's Scottish. You don't even have to ever have been in Scotland to be Scottish, just ask most of Canada.
thehogs
oh! another Scot! aaaalright! I heard an extended interview with emergency services that said he had recovered his vision just before he had to land luckily, though he must have been in some state as things came in to view! :yikes: He had suffered a stroke and the swelling in his brain had shut down his optic nerve. His sight should recover.
