bubba9497
pokes injury woes continue http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfceast Click link for entire article Update on McBriar's right leg October 13, 2008 2:07 PM If you saw the end of the Cowboys-Cardinals game Sunday, you witnessed a violent collision between Arizona's Sean Morey and the right leg of punter Mat McBriar. McBriar had to be carted off the field, and he's on crutches at Valley Ranch today. He just sent me a text saying that he's awaiting the results of an MRI and will let us know when he finds out something. OK, I'm thinking you guys might be interested in the other three teams in the division, too, so I'll see what I can dig up.

Ok let me get this straight. No name scrub WR out. Punter out. Decent QB out. Rookie out. Terrible SS out. A good corner out. Brutal. umm no. Whatever happened to being the most talented team in the league
DWinzit
Over the past few years the Cowboys are the only NFCE team to not suffer a gluteny of injuries in a single season.

kuraitengai
Ok let me get this straight. No name scrub WR out. Punter out. Decent QB out. Great Rookie out. Terrible SS out. A good corner out. Brutal. umm no. Whatever happened to being the most talented team in the league fixed that for you. jones is playing outstanding this year when he gets to touch the ball. so thats a good starting QB, the punter, a good CB, and an electric rookie RB out. thats 4 out of 6 guys that are actually heavy contributors... so borderline brutal, depending on what their schedule looks like the next few weeks. Sekhmet728
Great, now we have to compete with Dallas for a new punter....
pjfootballer
I thought I saw a report that he fractured the leg. One report says 6-8 weeks and Ed Werder is reporting for the season.
Roger.Staubach
I thought I saw a report that he fractured the leg. One report says 6-8 weeks and Ed Werder is reporting for the season. I saw/heard the same thing. Right after the game, reports were saying that he was fine 9even though he was on crutches). The hit was brutal and I cannot see how he didn't break/rupture something. Forehead
Not that I'm bitter or anything, and I rarely turn on players fast, but I'd almost be willing to bet that McBriar could punt further on a busted leg than Brooks when healthy. On average, anyway.
3rdgenJen
It looked nasty when he got hit but I didn't realize they had to cart him off the field. Of course, my son and I kept Tivoing the Cards blocking the punt and scoring so we missed it.

ouvan59
What is news is that this is news. A ton of teams in the league have similar issues. This hilights the fact that the Cowboys have been living a charmed life the last two years. Let's take a look at what we have right now: Marcus Washington (starter) Jason Taylor (starter) Ladell Betts Shawn Springs (starter) Stephon Heyer (starter) Chris Samuels (starter) I might even be missing a couple. Somehow we don't warrant our own crawl along the bottom of the ESPN screen.
