Mark The Homer
http://extremeskins.com/showthread.php?t=287769 The team claims all their team issued jerseys are "gw" or game worn. But it's not necessarily so. That's probably a team issued jersey, but not customized and not worn. If you look in the thread linked above, you can see that Lavar liked his jerseys shortened. It appears this one is not, since you're showing us the jock tag. Also, how many burgundy games did we play in 2005? I'm not sure we played any. We even wore white @ Dallas in 2005, which is unusual. http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Search.aspx?contractUrl=2&language=en-US&family=editorial&assetType=image&p=redskins%202005%20arrington Nonetheless, it beats a so-called authentic jersey by a long shot. Looking back on the schedule, the only game that we played in which we wore burgundy was the infamous "2 point conversion" game in Tampa. I would agree that it most likely is TI. The sleeves are another indication of it being TI.
Mark The Homer
Not sure what you mean about the sleeves, but yeah, I was just about to edit that in because by coincidence, I just found this:
Jason Campbell 17 #1 fan
The sleeves on Arrington wore in 03 and here is one from 2005 The sleeves on the one from the redskins store don't match what LaVar looks to be wearing (IMO). From my POV, it looks to be more open and less like what he would have worn, and a different cut, too. Maybe I'm just seing things...:insane:
Mark The Homer
I couldn't see the second pic. I had to put the link in a browser to view the second pic. I think getty likes you to be signed in to view their pics. Here's the link: http://cache2.asset-cache.net/xc/56442785.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=77BFBA49EF878921F7C3FC3F69D929FDD7EFC7D11D957685AC04C7C7C2DD90CE9B7FA381365180F0 But I see what you're saying. The 2005 sleeve cuffs are designed to be away from the body of the jersey, and the 2003 sleeve cuffs are close to the body. But psu's jersey appears to me to be like it should be - away from the body. The fonts on the sleeves are different too. The bold fonts are applied to the longer sleeves. The skinny unbold font, which is smaller, is applied to the short sleeves, presumably because the bold font won't fit as well.
Yeen80
Nope. See above post No. I mean the ones with the game wear on them. Lavar usually had his jersey's custom cut...i.e. the jock tags were removed. Now as far as game-issued....then maybe

Stugein
Has there ever been a modern era jersey with knitted sleeve stripes? Edit - Nevermind, I just answered my own question. Or rather, Mark answered it by way of me reading the original post for the third time. New rule: Never try to parse the jersey thread at 3 in the morning. o_0
Mark The Homer
Question: What kind of Redskins jersey includes a tag with the words, Made In U.S.A.? A Replica jersey? A Premier jersey? Nope. How about an Authentic Jersey? Is that made in America? Nope. There's only one Redskins jersey made in America. A that's a team-issued Game Jersey. Happy Fourth of July! Diesel Hog
Anyone know anything about this site? <link removed by ES Staff> The have some "too good to be true" sales on Redskins jersey's right now. I'm thinking they are fake... On that note does it matter? I think I'd rather spend $30 on a fake, than $130 for a Premier Jersey. What do you all think? Any experience buying fakes? Ever been to the above website?

MattFancy
Yeah I have no problems with fakes. When you think about it, replicas aren't "authentic" either. So would you rather spend $80 on a replica that the numbers will fade off it in a few years or a "fake" for $30-$60 that doesn't look that bad? Ever been to the above website? I just hate the iron press sticker type sleeves, always. There used to be a site, now not running, that had the the nice stitched cloring on the sleeves, like ST in your sig. I got 3 of those (Cooley, Landry & Portis) a couple years back, love em. I figured this was a fake n'all, but just seeing if anyone has bought from them...They have a sweet looking Sonny jersey for only $26, but shipping is $20...Still, that fake looks better than the Premier or Replicas I've seen. Before I buy, I just didn't want to waste $50 bucks and never get my jersey. Mark The Homer
Diesel Hog - Netstat keeps telling me there is something called akamaitechnologies.com pinging on my PC. Who or what is that? Here's what Wiki says: Akamai transparently mirrors content—sometimes all site content including HTML, CSS, and software downloads, and sometimes just media objects such as audio, graphics, animation, and video—from customer servers. Though the domain name (but not subdomain) is the same, the IP address points to an Akamai server rather than the customer's server. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akamai_Technologies I think that explains the IP coming out of Utah. I also think we need to stop mentioning sites by name that sell illegal merchandise. Thanks.

Mark The Homer
<mod edit> is great, there another site. Does anyone tried it?www.<mod edit> "...there another site. Does anyone tried it?" That second reference is probably the worst jersey site I've ever seen. Counterfeit Chinese or other foreign jersey sites are great if you like breaking the law, and putting yourself at risk with the feds. Posting these links on ES, however, is contrary to what's allowed on this board (see the rules) and is in risk of a ban.
