Your right we could not use 29 sacks in a 4 year period, thats just to many for 1 player, how many guys on our roster have 29 sacks in their whole career....

I guess the guy doesn't realize Junior Seau is 38 years old. I think Strahan is 35 or 36 too.

ESPN reported hat Rice had a phyiscal that include MRI's and was much more in depth that the one he got with the Bucs. Which was confined to manipulating his shoulder.

And was passed to play football.

Rice was reported to turn down a 2.5 million dollar pay cut, and sited that as for his real reason for the release.

So, now that he has passed a physical, do we take a closer look at him?

I'd take a look at him. Going over his 12 year career and Daneils 12 year career there isnt much comparison.

Daneils over the past 3 years had 4, 48 and 37 tackles, including assists.

Rice over the past 3 years had 40, 40, and 18 tackles, including assists. In the years with low tackle stats, they were hurt at least 1/2 the year.

Rice has aprox. 50 MORE tackles over his career than Daneils. Rice-382, Daneils-335

The Sack comparison is no contest of course. Rice has 121.5, Daneils has 56. Daneils has 12 sacks over the last 3 seasons including 4 in one game. Rice had 12 and 14 sacks before the shoulder injury last year, in which he put up 2 sacks.

But the fact that Rice puts up run-stopping stats that are at LEAST comprable to Daneils should be an eye-opener to some. It was to me. That and Rice had less assists than Daneils (more solo tackles). Now, I dont think that people are gonna call Rice a run stuffing specialist, but he may not be the liablity at the run game that some think he is.

Rice has been in 10 more games that Daneils over that same 12 year career however. Rice hyas only missed time in 3 NFL seasons, 2 of those being only 1 game. Daneils has missed time in 5 NFL seasons. 1 game once, 2 games once, 3 games (2x) and 11 games his first year here. So, Rice has been healty over his carrier, missing 2 games in 11 seasons untill last year.

Rice also creates tunovers, creating 6 turnovers 3 times with 35 over his career. Daniels has 3 as his highest total, and 11 for his career.

Daneils is slated to make about 3.2 million this year, with insentives. Rice was slated to make 4 million before being cut. I'd take him at 4 million over 3.2 million anyday
