mcarey032
At noon they are going to show the redskins 1983 NFC championship game against the 49ers. I don't think that I have seen that game since they won it back in '83 on the NFL NETWORK.

mcarey032
That particular year aggrivates me to no end because had we won the super bowl that year, it probably would have been considered one of the best teams ever.
mcarey032
We are always looked at as one of the NFC teams that lost 1 of 2 super bowls during the 80s.
rlhjr34
Have they ever broadcast the '82 game? Now that's my fondest memory. Nothing like seeing Danny White crumble like a house of cards under Dexter Manley.

andyburd
We are always looked at as one of the NFC teams that lost 1 of 2 super bowls during the 80s. That would be 1 of 3 SB's, don't forget 1987. I was at that Raider SB, how dissappointing it was
hail2skins
What was the combined FGM/FGA for the kickers that day? Didn't Moseley go like 1 for 6 (the 1 being VERY important)? And Wershing missed a few I believe?

mojo
I vaguely remember that game being that I was about 10 years old, but I do remember a crucial phantom PI call against the niners that even me being a huge Redskins thought was BS.

mcarey032
we won 2 of 3 Good point. That is the way I perceive it and you do, but I hear from other teams fans " OH yeah you all lost to the raiders in 83." I will never forget that game because as a kid I thought that it was going to be automatic.
