carter23
I know its in the game thread, but I wasn't sure how many people would see it http://redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=22887 Cornerback Shawn Springs is among the inactive players for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Springs has been slowed by a hamstring injury in recent weeks. The decision to deactivate Springs comes as a mild surprise, because he practiced two days last week and he was listed on the injury report as probable heading into Sunday's game. Team officials said Springs's hamstring worsened on Saturday, so it was decided to rest the 10-year NFL veteran. Kenny Wright will start in place of Springs, opposite Carlos Rogers. Wright started six games earlier this season as Springs recuperated from a groin injury. The Redskins' secondary will also be without safety Troy Vincent, who was also declared inactive. Vincent has also been slowed by a hamstring injury. It's expected that Vernon Fox will start in place of Vincent. The Redskins' complete list of inactive players is as follows: wide receivers Mike Espy and David Patten, Springs, Vincent, linebacker Khary Campbell, offensive lineman Taylor Whitley and tight end Brian Kozlowski. Campbell, the Redskins' leading tackler on special teams, suffered a hamstring injury in last week's 17-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Uno Boss
I think he could actually go but they are resting him because ATL isnt that good of passing team as far as recievers are concerned.... Its better to have him healthy against New Orleans,Rams,Giants, than the falcons.. We can get it done without him....
Whiskeypeet
Ugh. Kenny Wright is fine as our 3rd corner. In fact he is actually pretty damn good in the role. However he's not good as a starter. A diminishing returns guy.

kevin11
Great, Springs needs to take care of himself better...I know he is 30, but he's been playing football for at least 15 years....Hopefully, Vick is too scared to throw it or Wright is going to get burned alot... kingfish50
It's time to look for another corner in the off season. The man just has to many injuries and he's costing us games. This is a huge loss for today. Our secondary is bad enough with Shawn in the line up and now that he's inactive again, need I say more?
Almost Wrote Them Off
You know what, **** Shawn Springs. At some point that bama is going to have to play hurt. Your hamstring hurts, your muther ****ing hamstring you ***** ass ****. This team is trying to fight it out and he can't go because of a tweaked hamstring. This is a veteran that needs to show the other guys how to be tough. Shawn Springs is a *****.

Clark84
Just when our D takes a step forward. I hope Carlos steps up again. Rumph will be out there for the first time in a while, that worries me.

Almost Wrote Them Off
Glad to see you're taking it so good. I'm tired of it. You know who is willing to play hurt in this league and Shawn Springs just won't do it for you. I can only imagine what Sean Taylor's body must feel like right now but you can't get him out of the game. He is old school and Shawn Springs is a *****. If he truly believed that this team could go places wouldn't he play? He is a girl or he doesn't think that the team can go places. Either way it makes him a a-hole. Chris Worthy
Damn Springs! All week long nothing was on the injury report about Springs. This dude is starting to get on my nerves. And just like that another CB to get in the off-season. And whats up with all the hamstring issues on the team??

Gallntfox
why is espy not playing? I think we waived Boschetti to activate Suisham and Boschetti had been inactive.
