helptheSKINS
As many have said, I think talent wise they are pretty even, but smiths system suits him while our is a horrible mess. I think if the players switched teams, the results would flip flop
wpenn1
i have to say smith. he is a one man wrecking crew. you know the ball is coming to him and no one can stop him. i love santana though

Mania
Currently I say Smith is better, but I believe the jury is still out on this. Next year we should know the answer due to Moss having a new quarterback to get him the ball.
drowland
After a breakout year in 2005, Santana's reverting back to the guy who played for the Jets. He has an occasional blowup game, but he's been invisable and injuried more often. I mean, other then the Jags game what has Moss done this year? And you can't blame it all on Brunell since Brunell was the guy throwing to him last year when he had a career season.
pjfootballer
Randy Moss I dont think so he has been invisible this year. I think we will see alot more out of Santana with Campbell at QB he will actually stand in the pocket and look downfield and can scramble to avoid the rushI think they are pretty close I give Moss the advantage when it comes to making a clutch play Please let punctuation be your friend. Very hard to read.
FootballGuy2677
Smith there's really no reason for this debate Smith is way better. I love Santana but look at Smith's vertically and the ability to break tackles. Thats cuase Smith is on Steroids. Oops my bad.
RDSKNfaithfull
Thats cuase Smith is on Steroids. Oops my bad. I think he is as well  Throwing up everygame is not normal
pjfootballer
smith is the best reciever in football but santana is very good. Here the top 15. Smith harrison chad Johson TO Lee Evans (um NO), Santana, javon walker, Tory holt, Chris chambers, Plexico burress (um NO), hines ward, Roy williams, Joey gallaway (no freakin way), joe horn, and randy moss. (and Um No)
NavyDave
Obviously Satanna when he can make a Mark Brunell look good last year and this year with a game winning catch over two defenders. and I dont recall Smith beating dallas 3 out of the last 4. Santana_Fan
They both were playing behind two different QB's, I want to see Smith's production with Brunell. Steve Smith has been playing with a better QB.
Trillskinsfan
we cant decide yet Smith has JD,Santana haves MB, but based on right now Smith has Santana by a nose
Da_Truth
Smith and Santana are neck and neck. They are almost clones. But you have to look at this. One team has a qb who could throw the ball pass 20 yards. The other team "had" a qb who couldnt throw the ball worth a crap. Wait till Santana get a load of Campbell. We will start seeing how Santana can really get off. Both are game breakers.
the burgundy and gold
Smith without a doubt, he's a dominant reciever in every game. Santana is dominant in some games, he's only been great in one this year. The rest he hasn't done much.
RedskinsFan06
Lee Evans is one of the 15 best WR's. Whoever said he wasn't needs to check their head...

swisha
Steve Smith is so consistent. I can't say the same about Santana Moss.
SKiNz Jus 2 sick
Steve Smith has a QB who is consistent and finds him while open and also they have a Defence who gets the ball back for the Offense
mook_juice83
They are essentially the same player. Smith has a better stiff arm move to get away on short routes where Santana uses pure speed, spins, and jukes to get away after short cathes. The big difference is QBs ability to get the ball to them, and Steve Smith wins this debate right there. Delhomme is a far better QB than Brunell over the last two years and we havent seen what JC can do with Santana in the lineup
desioreo87
They are the same exact receiver. I don't think there is any difference expect for the fact that Smith has a QB who can get him the ball for the last two years and Moss had...well...Brunell. Dirk Diggler
Very similar skill set. But Smith gets the nod so far based on the fact that he's taken his game to another level in the playoffs. Jerry Rice wasn't even as good as Smith in the playoffs.
WVUforREDSKINS
I'll say Smith, but I'm definately looking forward to the match up in this weekends paloff game.
playoffsplz
Smith, but if we start to actually play football like every other team Santana could be better.
