Warhead36
I'm considering getting an XBox 360, mostly for Live and playing Madden on it. But I'm not yet "sold" on it. So you guys show me the salesmen inside of you and sell me on the Xbox 360.
RonBurgundy&Gold
I was strictly a Sony gamer ever since the original PS came out. I tried the Xbox when it first came out and just didn't really like the controls or the controller. The first time I picked up a 360 controller and played Call of Duty 2, I was sold. I don't even like these fighter/war games, as I've always been primarily into sports games. The 360 has me waiting for not only Madden/NCAA, but other games that I normally wouldn't play. Its worth it, go get it, you won't regret buying it.

( I sell'm so I know......) Well KingBrice, I have a feeling there a BUNCH of people on here that are torn between the two. I am one of them. Like the first response to this post, I have been nothing but Sony PS since its inception. I think I'm gonna stick with the PS2 and eventually go to the PS3. Maybe I should give 360 a better look. Section106
The PS3 core will cost 499 bucks. That's w/o HDMI, memory sticks, a game, a hard drive, an extra controller, etc...No HDMI means no Blu-Ray capability. If you want HDMI and a 60 gig hard drive you're gonna drop $599. And the controller no longer has the rumble feature. OTOH, a Premium 360 costs $399, comes with a wireless controler w/ rumble, XBOX Live, stellar graphics, must play exclusives like Oblivion, Gears of War and Halo 3, and a 20 gig hard drive. And by the time the PS3 is released the 360 will probably see a price drop and have over 100 titles. My release date 360 died and I simply sent it back and got a free replacement within a week. The customer service was outstanding and I bought the 2 year warranty from XBOX/MS for $60. If anything goes wrong I simply send it to XBOX/MS and they either fix it or send me a new one. Get the 360. If you're worried about the next gen of DVDs, don't. MS is releasing a plug-in HD-DVD player. If Blu-Ray becomes the standard then MS or a third party can simply release that type of player.
SUNSTONE
I'm sure the PS3 will be an awesome system. It is expensive, and in a poll I saw it came in dead last as far as who is going to buy what. Due to the price of the thing. The 360 came in first. The Nintendo Wii is going to be awesome I think just because of that controller they have. I'm tired of using my thumbs so much, I'm definitly getting the Wii. I have the 360 and it's a great system. I have countless hours into Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, which is easily the best console shooter ever made. There are a lot of other great games for it. DoA4 is the deepest fighter made to date. That game is amazing, but you're going to get killed online, so unless you have friends to play against, it's worthless. Oblivian is great, I have it, I don't play it, but that doesn't mean I don't recognize a great game when I see one. I'm just not into RPG. I may pick it back up this summer. The controller is arguably the best controller ever made for any system. But I'm sure that will change with Wii. The arcade section is extremely fun! I was shocked by how fun some of these games are. Plus they are releasing tons of classics for it. And these games are usually 5$, some of them are free, like the multi table tourny having Texas Hold'em You really can't go wrong with any system. It all depends on how much you want to spend, and if you want to wait or not. The Wii is suppose to be 250$
waterwagen
My 360's still going strong. Call of Duty 2 is a good game, the controllers are great, and Xbox Live is unbeatable, but the real reason it will always be Xbox for me? HALO.

Rypien 91
I bought a 360 a few months ago and I love it. Wasted my money on used Madden (sucks), College Hoops was good, and Burnout Revenge is great. Almost finished with Fight Night 3...great game, great graphics. There is alot of new games coming out for it. Indiana Jones, Forza Motorsports, Halo 3 and of course the 2 footballs games. I recommend it to anybody. I was on the fence also, but I am glad I made the purchase.
B.Lloyd
DO NOT GET MADDEN. They took out all the good stuff, which in turn will ruin your experience.

Rdskn4Lyf21
Ill be an honest salesman... follow these five steps to happiness: 1. Buy a regular Xbox 2. Buy a modchip 3. Buy a 300 gb hard drive 4. Install 2 & 3 into 1 5. Have fun with the endless games you can save or download and the endless roms and emulators to enjoy your favorite classic games on your Xbox
RonBurgundy&Gold
DO NOT GET MADDEN. They took out all the good stuff, which in turn will ruin your experience. Be specific. DO NOT GET MADDEN 06. MADDEN 07 looks to be much improved. 06 sucked because they had to rush it out for the launch. I bought it and had to trade it in when I found out it had no challenge. JWB
I actually just opened up my 360 today. Ironically, the only game I have for it right now is madden 06....I'm gonna get Oblivion and honestly, I am using a 15" walmart $99 tv and it looks ridiculous. I can't wait until I get a nice screen for college... This is actually my first console (I've always owned pc's.) but this one seemed like the real deal. I splurged and am loving it right now. For you, I guess it all depends on whether the money is right, and whether you like ps3 games and want to hold out, or like xbox games.

redskinsfan17
more money with less features= ps3 less money with more features= xbox 360 I personally own an xbox 360 and I love it. The graphics are amazing and they're only going to get better. MS rushed their launch titles, but hey...who doesn't! If you're worried about realiblity, every console that I can think of has had some sort of problems. I suspect that PS3 will have some problems. You also have to keep in mind that Xbox already has a games out and established a gaming community where thousands upon thousands of people play games online. The controller for the 360 is amazing and the ps3 doesn't have the rumble!!!!!!! MY #1 REASON WHY I WON'T BUY THE PS3. Go ahead and get the 360, you won't regret it

As for which is better, I'll wait until the PS3 actually comes out before I make any opinions on it. Personally, I'm still leaning towards the PS3, higher capacity has more potential. I also want to see if it is actually a Blu-Ray player as well...last I read, it was up in the air whether it was going to play Blu-Ray movies. I just don't see how Sony will do anything that will be a step back. Plus I'm still kind of wondering about the price...I think it's just a ploy, and they will release it for cheaper. There has been history of Sony in general saying one thing, playing it safe, and doing something else. The old Under-promise, Over-deliver type of sales. I have witnessed Blu-Ray first hand and I can tell you that as of now it is grainy and HD-DVD looks a whole lot better. What made me up and compare them at my local Best Buy is a certain situation that occurred to a member of this site; http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=691699&page=2&pp=3 As far as the 360 VS. PS3 delima going on, I would suggest the 360. Its cheaper and you will have more games to choose from. The graphics will be identical at best between the both. Sony couldn't show us a workable development kit at the last E3 conference. This could be bad because the PS3 could be buggy and the first of the QA people in the developers, will not have had the time to go over it with Sony engineers before its launch in November. However, what she did see, they looked the same. Problem with HD-DVD it used it's full capacity...that's not good. Blu-Ray has more capacity. Did they have the Blu-Ray on the same set as the HD-DVD? Becuase I saw some HD-DVD that looked grainy as well...
