fight_on_til_you_have_won
This test gets the caramel question completely backwards -- it says that pronouncing caramel as "care-a-mell" is "most common around the Great Lakes and into the northeast US." I can't speak for the northeast, but that's a bunch of crap about the midwest. I don't know anyone here that says it that way, they all say "car-mul," which the test says easterners and southerners say. Growing up in Virginia, I never heard anyone pronounce it that way. And Nestle conducted a nationwide poll for how you pronounce caramel, and it was the west and midwest using two syllables and everyone else using three. Plus, most of my answers were either 'Common throughout the U.S.' or associated with a Northern state/region. :whoknows:
