Why should he? I wouldn't have come back either. Rock looks the smartest of them all now getting out when he did. Quite frankly I thought it sucked. How much more predictable can they get? Who didn't know Vince would name himself the greatest star and then have all the big names come out and put their finisher on him. The Stone Cold bit is so old now it's annoying. How many times are we going to see him pretend to beer bash McMahon and then stun him. That was funny TEN YEARS ago.

Rock is smart for not staying in wrestling but let's be honest here, he owes it to the industry that made him to make a appearance on a night like this IMO. Maybe. But he's probably too busy making 15 mil per movie to really give a damn about Vince McMahon and the WWE. I bet you if the tables were turned McMahon would have no problem not showing up either.

I applaud Dwayne Johnson for not showing up. I'd be afraid to be associated in anyway to the WWE right now. I hope instead he was doing lines off a hooker's ass in some hotel in Las Vegas while watching the reunion show. Maybe he gave her a Rock Bottom, too, if you know what I mean. The Rock owes the WWE absolutely nothing. He wrestled for them and he's made multiple appearances for them since he left. He's a serious movie star now. He shouldn't have to come back for a cheap pop from the fans.

It wasn't so much a "thank you" to the business it would be more like a thanks and final goodbye to his wrestling fans that he never really gave. I still love Rock but it just rubbed me the wrong way.
