"Redskins hosting Abraham: The Redskins scheduled Jets defensive end John Abraham for a visit Sunday night after 49ers defensive end Andre Carter visited the facility but departed for a trip to Denver.

Abraham is a franchise player but the Jets are willing to trade him, and Abraham wants to be traded. What's interesting is whether the Redskins have enough draft choices to try to appease the Jets. Their No. 1 is with the Broncos. They have only a second, a fifth, two sixths and a seventh. Washington traded its No. 3 to the 49ers for wide receiver Brandon Lloyd along with a No. 4 in 2007.

This is Abraham's first visit. He's talking to four other teams, including the Seahawks and the Broncos. "

I won't hold my breath on this one...but John Clayton did say that we and Denver were the ones in the running for him. So if Carter goes to Denver hey fine have him...we'll take Abraham.

Andre Carter would cost less than Abraham, in terms of salary cap and in terms of draft picks + players.

This has got to be posturing, to pressure Carter into a deal?

I think it will take Ramsey and a second rounder. Since Ramsey is probaly going to the Jets anways and Abraham is leaving it makes sence.

Ramsey, Betts, and next years first rounder should be an offer the jets can't refuse. :deal:

Both Ramsey and Betts could start for the Jets, and another 1st rounder next year should help them rebuild their team.

Edit- Betts would definetly start for them.
