sknsrbck26
question if the CBA does get extended will the cap go up 10$ million or does it just mean there will be a cap in 2007? If the CBA is extended then there will be cap in 07.:applause:

CPstretch
i am curious to know what the new offer the owners have for the NFLPA entails. upshaw said plenty of times that they will not accept a deal where the revenue sharing is less than 60%. mcnabb2freddie2k4
There is no deal. They only extended the deadline, to give teams like the Redskins more time to get under the cap.

A little late to the party? Hey, did you hear that Brad and Jenn broke up? Reports are that the owners have sent a new proposal to NFLPA. We will see what happens with it. But it looks like this move was made more for a new CBA than to allow 1 team to get under the cap.
mcnabb2freddie2k4
Wrong. There is no shot of any deal getting done by Sunday. Zero chane of that happening. They only extended it, so teams could have time to restructure contracts.

Hooper
Who knows? I know one thing -- there is a much better chance of a deal getting done by Sunday than the Eagles ever winning a Super Bowl.

ahudson
Mort just said that Union officials have been notified that a new proposal will be submitted by the Owners to the NFLPA. Not saying anything will be done, but there is a chance, otherwise owners wouldn't be spending their weekend trying to get something done.

The Evil Genius
mcnabb2fraudie2k4, http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2351271 Read the first few lines. While they might not have the story entirely correct, they are suggesting that the delay gives time for a new deal.

mcnabb2freddie2k4
They are deadlocked morons. They are off 4%. That is a quarter of a billion dollars. The union says they wont go for anything without a 6(60%). The league had a meeting today, and laughed at that. They left within an hour, and said they would not go on boadr with that. Unless upshaw completly backs off of 60%, there will be no deal. They are at a complete deadlock, and you think they will get that solved over a weekend? That issue, could take almost a year to resolve. The main reason they gave the extension, was to allow teams more time, to make moves to get under the cap, since they really did not gives teams very much notice.
