supersmartbrunell5
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5351986 I think we pretty much assumed this would happen. Committing that much money to wide receiver can't be good can it?
ChiefPowhatan17
Well too bad for all the Wayne wishers out here. I don't think we could afford him anyway. 40 million wow. That's all I got to say.:logo:
myzhi
Wow. Third highest salary for WR. Not worth it, but good for him.

Hail Gibbs
That is a lot of cash for a WR when you consider they already have a lot of money invested in Harrison, not to mention Manning's huge contract. I guess that seals Edge's fate.
The Full Monty
I was surprised to see he only had 5 TDs in that offense... Well they ran more this year. Last year he had 10 I think. Besides, when Marvin retires, he'll be the number 1.
Sweet Sassy Molassy
That's an assload of money for a #2 receiver.

Mr. S
Colts have got to be one of the dumbest managers of the cap. Petyon, Harrison, and now Wayne have bank breaking contracts, and they also gave out some decent ones to other guys (I think Jeff Saturday and Dwight Freeney) but not sure. Pretty rediculous if you ask me.
Donita35
NOOOOOO! But you guys are right, high price tag. Just think Indy was willing to give up EJ for a number 2 receiver. Congrats RW, but you will not, I repeat, will not be in the playoffs next year or the next without EJ. You should have came to DC where there are the best fans in the world. supersmartbrunell5
The more I think about it, this is huge money for a #2 receiver but this guy is more like a 1A receiver. I would rather lock up a great receiver like this then a near 30 year old running back, even if Edge is very good. Running backs grow on trees, especially when you can throw it like the colts and have so much continuity on the line, skill positions, and coaches. I hate to say it but the Colts are doing it the right way, they've just choked in the big games.

Fergasun
Wayne has been the better receiver for 2 seasons now. The Colts could still franchise James.
Isifhan
This is good actually. It lessens the amount of $$ they can spend on Freeny next year which opens up the possibility of him coming to us.
