RedskinForLife Posted January 8, 2006 Share Posted January 8, 2006 the difference is the redskins play with heart and CHARGED into the playoffs.the giants (with the exception of tiki barber) play with no heart and dont seem to care half the time and they limped, hell they crawled into the playoffs. Even though the game was close in the first half, you could tell carolina was gonna win, the giants looked slow and sluggish. I'm not trying to bash the giants i thought they had a good year, but i was disgusted by their effort and pathetic play...i hate eli manning I was disgusted by the Jaguars play against the Patriots.Tom Brady's whole "we're disrespected" comment did not impress me.I wish I could win three Superbowls and whine like a little you-know-what.Here's to hoping they lose the next game. I know John Clayton got this screwed up. If this was merely a typo, sorry for being a nag, but its definatley not "guts" as in we are tough guys, its gut and power, as in 40/50 gut or 25/26 power. Different styles of run plays. I think he meant "Guts and power" as in the way we playing attributes, not as in plays themselves. I mean, he said the "Giants=Smokes and Mirrors"...those are definitely not plays.Anyways, the truth is DEFENSE!!! The Panthers defense DESTROYED the G-men. The G-men's defense just weren't up to the task. inevitable ~ You obviously didn't get it. asnpcwiz ~ Obviously did. Trust me, I know the story. I took liberty with it. Again, I shouldn't nit-pick, No you shouldn't, but you did, twice. but from the first time I heard/read that and they were wrong, it kinda annoyed me. I watched that whole game and was not impressed with Eli, but even less impressed with Plaxico and Shockey. Wondered what your take on them was? The announcers even mentioned they weren't running hard and so on. Not sure how you don't give maximum effort in the playoffs, but sure didn't seem like they were, even in the first half. Teams are frauds when they are hyped and then have a big game against a worthy opponent and get smoked....kinda like the first Cincy vs Pitt game in Cincy when Pitt mauled them. Obviously Cincy has grown from that but Tom's point is that injuries which lead to lesser team play does not constitute fraud. It happens to every team and that is when coaching takes over for teams to continue their level of play with backups and scheming. Thankfully with Danny's will and checkbook, Gibbs has assembled one helluva staff of coaches who earn their pay during hard times of injuries and off the field distractions. Here's to the Front Office of Danny and Joe and the coaches we have assembled, including their eye for talent on depth and buackups capable of filling in for injured starters when need be!!! Ya, me too. The jags got :owned: !!! I still believe the patriots are a great team but come on now jacksonville you guys usually hang with INDIANAPOLIS. But i disagree with you about tom brady. He's got a point, until someone else wins it all, they are STILL the team to beat in the AFC. I don't think there is a hotter AFC team in the playoffs right now and i'm rootin for cincy now so new england plays indy next week. I honestly think the patriots will make it back AGAIN this year. I said in the middle of the year, when all the Giant trolls were letting us know how bad our team was, and rubbing the whole Antonio Peirce situation in our faces, along with the 36-0 thrashing that they gave us in the meadowlands--let them have their laughs and lets see how this Tom Coughlin thing plays out.
