  1. We butchered enough of the team tradition by going with such a weak name and completely new uniforms. Nothing wrong or funny about holding on to the fight song and the legacy of the Hogs. They've alienated the fanbase enough... At least give me my fight song so I can scream the real lyrics at the top of my lungs at home games.
  2. With us going with the #HTTC hashtag over #TakeCommand... And the rollout of the new fight song being so early (week 1 preseason)... I fully anticipate the fight song being a slightly tweaked version of Hail to The Redskins. I hope the background music is the exact same. Also dig the idea of the mascot being a Commander Hog.
  3. Barring major injury, I fully expect this team to be top 8 in total offense (rushing+passing) I expect our defense to be top 10 as well, with my HOPES to return to top 5 form from two years ago. If both of above are true, I expect us to win our first playoff game this season.
  4. I could see Drew White being a Will Compton type player. Instinctive vocal leader great at calling the defense lacking in elite athleticism but makes up for it in his preparation. Bryce Notree and the kid from Idaho are both intriguing as well. Good chance one of the 3 make the 53
  5. Is the team selling the hats that the Turners have on? Like the black mesh trucker hat look.
  6. Cole Turner might be the most hyped I've been about a 5th rounder. "Excited for what he can bring to the offense" is high praise for a year-1 rookie.
  7. Full media access is tomorrow. Today was just a few snippets from social media influencer/podcaster day. Hoping to get some more juicy tidbits with the regular beat reporters and the coach/player media availability post-practice. I'm buying a Percy Butler jersey myself, hope I don't jinx him.
  8. Yeah Paulsen commented on his pre-draft stance as well. Said the hardest thing to scout is a players drive because he isn't in the interview rooms. But said it's been obvious that Turner wants to be great and has shown why the team fell in love with him. Great work ethic. And your comments on Logan make sense as to why we brought in so much TE talent. Id argue Bates more than proved himself last season and should be even better in his Sophomore season.
  9. I'll also add that Logan Paulsen's comments on OTAs on the burgundy zone podcast were very exciting as well Said the TE room is loaded, best he's seen on this team. Said Cole Turner already looking like a starting caliber NFL F-TE. Also said Hodges looks like he could also contribute year 1. The size and catch radius of all our TEs is elite. TE is probably my most exciting position group thus far. Gonna be difficult to stash any of these guys on the PS without getting poached by another team. Thinking we keep 4. Does Logan start the year on IR? Ditto Sammis Reyes, he's been out for the first portion of OTAs nursing an injury (doesn't bode well for his chances). I believe Amari Rogers has been moved from TE to WR, opposite for AGG who has been converted to a TE. Logan Thomas John Bates Cole Turner Sammis Reyes Curtis Hodges Antonio Gandy-Golden What a stacked position group. Personally I think the best chances to make it through waivers to the PS are Reyes and AGG (despite where he was drafted).
  10. Carson Wentz just took a deep shot to Dotson on what looked like a post. Beat #22 for about a 40 yd TD. — Jamual (@LetMualTellit) (this tweet has since been deleted per team policy)
  11. Post all articles, media reports, tweets, etc regarding OTAs and Training Camp here. What position battles are you most excited for? Who's your dark horse to make the squad? One of my favorite parts of the year. Looking forward to seeing who emerges and chopping it up with you guys about all the offseason camps. Looks like the Chase/Sweat/Payne drama was much ado about nothing with everyone present in Ashburn for phase 2 of OTAs.
  12. Why is this thread the catch-all for offseason talk? Shouldn't it be limited to free agency news, signings and rumors?
  13. Just listened to Logan Paulsen on the burgundy zone pod. Said Turner already looks like a starting NFL F-TE. Said the TE room is the strongest he's seen the unit in 10 years on this team. And that's with Logan Thomas currently on the sidelines. Said Hodges looks the part and could contribute year-1. Sammis Reyes is also hurt, which I think really hurts his chances this year. He might be the odd man out with the talent we have. Gonna be tough to stash any of these guys on the practice squad without getting poached.
  14. Makes me happy we have a loaded TE room with super high upside guys on cheap, team-friendly deals. Just gotta figure out how to stash one on the PS. Maybe we start Logan out on IR?
  15. Meh I guess I can see it. I see the re-writing the record books as preseason confidence which is a good thing. Did they live up to their own hype? No. Let's hope that's eating at them this off-season. I think it is. All I'm saying is I'm nowhere near close to labeling them as "problems" on the roster, and talking about trading either of them is absolute nonsense, imo.
  16. This is a joke right? Where is any evidence that Sweat is immature? Where is the proof that Sweat and Chase feed off of each other's immaturity? Chase Young is a vocal leader on defense. I have seen nothing about Sweat being immature... Unless people are talking about his personal decision on the vaccine last year and basing his entire character off of that? Which would be absolutely bananas. These all sound like fan-concocted narratives and it's annoying. Chase rehabbing here vs. Colorado to start OTAs isn't a big deal. If Sweat returns for the remainder of OTAs this is much ado about nothing. Y'all are a trip. Yeah let's completely blow up our defensive line off of rumors. NOT.
  17. It's an interesting and fair take on the situation. Very well researched and thought out. Makes a lot of sense. I think the league is wrong on Carson. I think we're gonna shock some people this year. Im very, very, very close to betting a large chunk of change on the over for season win total (7.5).... And I've never bet on this team in my entire life. I just don't see how we aren't 1 win better than last year unless we get decimated by injury. Taylor Lewan also just dropped a bombshell last week that it's known around the league that players pay PFF for boosted scores to aide free agency money. I definitely take PFF ratings with a grain of salt, it's only one metric of MANY that I use to base opinions on players.
  18. I think we like our UDFA DBs a lot and are content with letting the young guys duke it out. Our 7th rounder and Will Adams will both make this team. No need for Moreland. But if we get decimated by injury and he's still out there mid season, I guess it would be nice to know he's out there and available.
  19. Numbers don't lie. Bradberry was awful last season. He wouldn't be the #1 CB here, I disagree with that. Second half of the season our DBs played well and will be even better with a year of continuity. I think the Eagles are way over-hyped. Looking forward to Bradberry getting torched by our Receivers. Eagles secondary is awful to mediocre at best. Bradberry fits with that mediocrity. If he was so good he would have signed for way more money.
  20. Reading the comment section is really telling. The fanbase knows it wasn't all Wentz's fault. Not saying the dude is gonna prove the doubters wrong, but the way this whole situation has played out and the way Wentz has handled himself has really made me root for the guy. I'm starting to think we won the trade, and Wentz will succeed in an offense where he is actually supported with adequate weapons and O-Line protection. Pretty clear to me Irsay made a Dan Snyder-esque, knee-jerk move. You don't trade that much for a guy then give up after a year for not getting a shot and losing two games that the entire team played bad in. The Colts have been spoiled by elite QB play, and I think they're in for a rude awakening with a declining Matt Ryan.
  21. Do tryout players only tryout during rookie mini camp or do they get looks at OTAs as well?
