  1. **If we hire Kliff as OC** I think all 3 QBs have the ability to run an Air raid system, and I think all 3 have the athleticism to do at least some running stuff, but its hard not to think that massively boosts the likelyhood of drafting Jayden at 2. Kliff was chasing Kyler Murray outta high school, and said he would take him #1 overall well before he had a job w/ the Cards. You gotta imagine that he has a lot of qualities that resemble his idealized QB. Clearly he values dual threat QBs, and JD is by a country mile the biggest dual threat guy in the draft. I still believe 99% chance Bears take Williams 1, and that does not change. Personally, if we hire Kliff I will go from: "Maye feels like the likely pick but you have to have the conversation about Daniels" to "Daniels feels like the likely pick but you have to have the conversation about Maye"
  2. I can see the light around Kliff at OC. You could do a lot worse than him. He has had the opportunity to work with a good amount of high profile young talent across college and the NFL so he is no stranger to working with a young guy. He has been around -Pat Mahomes and Johnny Manziel (when he won the Heisman). -Caleb Williams this year -Kyler in the NFL He has XP w/ dual threat QBs so I would not be afraid of pairing him w/ Jayden Daniels. He does not limit our choice at QB like some OCs would. There is certainly some good fat to chew on. I'd like to ask him how he will alter his approach w/ young QBs after Kyler (restrict access to Call of Duty and lock them into film rooms is my guess)
  3. Kelly would be on a freight train to Jayden Daniels city. Kelly has red flags so significant that it is likely he will never be a head coach in the NFL again. While you don't have to worry about other teams poaching your OC, you gotta figure its not even worth the headache to deal w/ his laundry list of problems.
  4. If teams don't give out handshake agreements before they can technically hand someone the job how can we be confident in Kubiak going to the Saints? Wouldn't that be "super illegal"?
  5. This vid says its Boras and he found out before his agent did. 9:13 mark
  6. You truly understood the futility of your post and made it anyway... It didn't have to go down like this...
  7. Huge get. I liked DL Hall so I'm really hoping this turns into more than a 1 year rental, but I can't argue at striking while the iron is hot.
  8. I really hope they don't plan on testing the extreme limits of new regime leniency. I'm not bashing them over the head w/ a lead pipe for Quinn but c'mon, don't take a mile when I give you an inch.
  9. Cost of being the best. Gotta pay the piper. One of the few times I will disagree w/ Shefty. If you don't want a first time head coach to pair w/ a first time GM, you don't schedule a bunch of 2nd interviews with first time HCs after hiring your GM. The may have valued Quinn's coaching experience, but that clearly was not some end all be all.
  10. Quinn was like option 5 or 6 for me so I'm not pumped about the hire. But as I have said new brass get every oppo to succeed and fail on their own merits. Hopefully this pans out. I don't like the Chip Kelly rumblings either. Rather avoid that mess.
  11. He's been doing that while reporting. Every quarter campaign earnings are reported to the FEC. We are required to know where the money comes from and how its spent. That is how we know a lot of the money Trump earns does not go to his campaign, but rather his legal expenses. The writing has been on the wall for this for a while now tho. His earning power has been dropping for over half a year. Its not surprising its in the toilet, and I made predictions about it a while ago about how Biden was on pace to out earn him by astronomically absurd margins if trends continued. This was predictable.
  12. Trump election campaign raised $19 million in fourth quarter WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Donald Trump's election campaign reported on Wednesday that it had raised $19 million during the last three months of 2023, according to a financial disclosure submitted to the Federal Election Commission. Nikki Haley, Trump's only remaining opponent in the Republican presidential nomination contest, reported earlier this month that her campaign raised $24 million during the quarter. President Joe Biden's re-election campaign said earlier this month that it raised $97 million when including money raised by Biden's Democratic Party.
  13. Hard to say w/o knowing the HC and what relationships they have w/ potential OCs. But even if there was a lack of promising targets, that does not mean you are unable to replace a terrible OC currently holding the position.
  14. EB has already shown his ability to do massive damage to one young QB. 99.9% chance we are bringing in another one. The OC spot would be better off unmanned then letting EB trash another prospect. No chance he stays.
  15. Once everyone is off the market and you don't have the ability to deliver someone who will be embraced, this does not make a lot of sense. Your gonna take the hit, just take it.
