  1. 31-17, Lions. Our defense can't handle a veteran QB, even a mediocre one.
  2. Man, this game was the full Carson. My hope is that it matches the trajectory of his career- close out strong!
  3. That was one of the best ****ing games I’ve ever seen!
  4. Yup- and I must eat my words. Pass the ketchup!!!
  5. Yeah, wasn’t high on Rivera, wasn’t high on Wentz. Tried to make the most of it. **** them both. Clear house.
  6. 24-16, Jags. Our defense ****s the bed, but the Jags barely capitalize.
  7. 5-12. I have zero faith in our defense. Prior to the preseason, I was pretty bullish, expecting 9+ wins. Yet, I can’t ignore the obvious flaws on display to the world. Watching us against the Chiefs brought back horrific memories of the Chargers last season. Coincidentally, I think Wentz might approach some career numbers because of how he’ll need to throw to keep us in games. It is not going to be pretty, and the refs ****ing hate us, too. The media hates us even more, and I think the NFL loves having an evil “Washington Generals” franchise folks can **** on. Why does this matter? Because our players are immersed in this nonsense nonstop, sapping their will to get it done on the field.
  8. This secondary play has been atrocious no matter who we’ve fielded.
  9. Wentz has not been the issue thus far. Not happy with our run blocking or pass coverage.
  10. How does one measure QB decision making? What if a QB threw to an area where a receiver was supposed to be resulting in an interception or incompletion? What if the QB was hit while throwing resulting in an errant pass? What if a QB was directed to make a throw regardless of their pre-snap read? What if the QB’s line is a sieve? This metric has to be biased toward outcome, which means it’s utterly useless.
  11. I feel like Wentz has the ceiling of Matthew Stafford, who never won anything [IN DETROIT - edited for those who don’t understand contextual clues] without Megatron around.
  12. I think Terry leaving is about the last straw. I’ve said that a lot in the past, but it’s a lot easier to part with the “Commanders”
  13. Something about Howell reminded me of the past, and then I realized Sam Howell = Mark Brunell. They are both fifth rounders with the exact same build. During his Jaguars days, I thought Brunell was one of the best, so I have some high hopes for Sam.
  14. My guess is that he’s super into crypto.
  15. Got to love conversations about “reaches” this early after a draft. Reminds me of this gem: ” Seattle Seahawks Draft Picks Round 1: DE/OLB Bruce Irvin (West Virginia) Round 2: ILB Bobby Wagner (Utah State) Round 3: QB Russell Wilson (Wisconsin) Round 4: RB Robert Turbin (Utah State), DT Jaye Howard (Florida) Round 5: ILB Korey Toomer (Idaho) Round 6: CB Jeremy Lane (Northwestern State), DB Winston Guy (Kentucky) Round 7: DE J.R. Sweezy (North Carolina State), DE Greg Scruggs (Louisville) Grade: D Summary The Seahawks received our lowest Round 1 grade for their reach to grab Bruce Irvin at No. 15 overall. They messed up again in Round 3 with Russell Wilson after having signed Matt Flynn this offseason. Neither pick makes much sense to us. Bobby Wagner and Robert Turbin saved the Seattle draft, but two of its first three picks were just bad.” https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1163416-2012-nfl-draft-grades-full-draft-results-report-card.amp.html
  16. This is not quite what I heard from Cooley. The comps he mentioned were Josh Allen and Mayfield (also mentioned young Grossman, strong armed Heineke, and Drew Lock). He mostly blamed Howell’s supporting cast, and also mentioned he didn’t watch last year’s film. Biggest negatives were size and “extra movement” in the pocket. There’s a part of me that thinks Cooley puts a lot of stock in QB size. I thought it was interesting that Cooley believes Howell is the starter if Wentz goes down.
  17. I don’t know what to think of this draft, so of course it will go down as the best we’ve ever had. I didn’t know what to think of McLaurin, Gibson, and Curl, either.
