  1. Traded 36, 67, 99, and a 3rd next year for Taliese.
  2. I really think Wagner could be great here. He is playing as well as he ever has even at 33 and could step right in and stabilize the position for a couple of years. He could easily be our next London Fletcher.
  3. He has a comfort level with a running QB because of Cam.
  4. Beebe's arms are SHORT. How do you see him doing in pass pro in the NFL at guard?
  5. It's pretty easy to say something like that when you just aren't going to go number one. Turns out that I, myself, also don't care about going first overall. I like Daniels. Love his running. Love his release. I think this combine wasn't a good look for him. At least show up and be measured and stay. He's not Caleb or Marvin, the unquestioned top pick at his position.
  6. "4) Reiman's star turn. Illinois TE Tip Reiman has made the most of his NFL Scouting Combine experience. The unheralded blocking tight end earned a little internet notoriety this week with his "birds aren't real" take during media access, asking rhetorically: "Have you ever seen a baby pigeon?" and "How do we know that power lines aren't pigeon recharging stations?" 4) Reiman's star turn. " Oh, my ****ing god. There is one of them there that doesn't believe in space and one that doesn't believe birds are real? BIRDS? And they say this stuff out loud. For other people to hear. What is up with the world these days? Also, Johnny Wilson had a pretty good combine. He's 6'6" and 231 with 35" arms, ran a 4.52 40, had a 37" vertical and 10'8" broad jump. That is pretty intriguing. Also, Keon Coleman is going to fall with that 4.61. He also becomes intriguing to me in the later rounds.
  7. Daniels leaving the combine for, “something personal”? What could possibly be more important than this. If we don’t find out about a death in the family, this is an awful look and would absolutely affect my willingness to draft him. At least Caleb showed up and stayed. And regarding the not weighing in, it doesn’t change a lot for me. He’s skinny. He doesn’t have one of those frames to add much good weight. We know his build. I think for me this is more of. STFU moment for everyone talking about him rapidly putting on weight and it not being an issue in the NFL.
  8. Go ahead and sign me up. I think this might move him above our 3rd though.
  9. The teams will know whether he might still grow based on the medical. His growth plates would still be open on whatever imaging they do.
  10. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jordan-reed/32005245-4530-2847-ba4d-b3c01fedf34c The 40, size, and route running praise made me think of Jordan Reed. I'm not sure how much I like the comp though. We interviewed him, so there must be some interest?
  11. I can’t wait to see what the QB’s measure tomorrow. It’s funny to me that Drake Maye is the same height as Tom Brady. Drake just looks tall/big. Is it the arm length? Also, Theo Johnson is going in the 2nd now, isn’t he?
  12. Lying season? The Chargers should take him. I think Bowers is a transcendent talent. I am generally against moving up in this draft, and I don't think we would for a TE, but if he drops that far, I'd go get him. Imagine pairing your new franchise QB with a TE safety blanket that has the talent to be a top 5 TE the day he steps on the field. Give Drake Maye with Terry, Jahan, Brob, and Bowers? Those are great weapons for a developing QB. Reinforce the OL in FA. Pick 36, 40 and 67 are worth 1295 points on the trade value chart. Pick 10 is 1300 and pick 11, 1250. It would be like a wet dream. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp Also, back to reality. A lot of guys are posting great numbers. We are going to have a shot at some really good players at 36 and 40.
  13. No trades. Nothing crazy unrealistic. It’s amazing to think how much one draft could remake this team.
  14. https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2024/02/28/rfk-stadium-dc-house-passes-bill-redevelop-commanders Ha! In first!
  15. I posted in the draft forum about Joel Klatt's mock draft and a number of players he described as natural fits for a team. This was one of them. Klatt was apparently briefly a backup QB behind drew brees in NO and was saying how poor a fit Russell Wilson was for Payton, basically because Payton wants a point guard distributing the football on schedule. Klatt said that Bo NIx could be a really good fit for a Sean Payton offense.
  16. The enemy of my enemy. Anyway, I really liked that Maye video with Colt. Maye seems super affable, I think I finally feel entrenched as a Drake Maye guy. Not as solidly as if we'd gotten Ben Johnson, as I think that system would have been perfect. But, solidly enough. I'd still be happy with Daniels.
  17. He's skinny. But, there is a big difference between 6'0" skinny with a 4.4 flat and 6'3" skinny in the 4.3's. Anyway, I think Frankline goes in the first
  18. Troy Franklin can FLY, and I would love to have him here if he drops to the second. Imagine Daniels or May throwing to him and Terry and Jahon, behind an improved OL. One thing I find interesting, is thinking about draft fits. Joel Klatt talked a bunch about them in his mock, which I will post below. One fit that I loved was Franklin to Kansas City. It's just so perfect. He had a number of other good ones. JJ McCarthy to Seattle for instance. Mike Macdonald has basically only worked with the Harbaughs and we know McCarthy is a fit for that system. Penix to Miami was one. Just with the wide open offense, number of deep shots, and similarities in the system to what he ran in college. Would McConkey be our slot with Jahan and Terry outside?
  19. You HAVE to find a QB in this league.
  20. Florio is sooooooo cringey. My favorite is how embarrassingly he tries to push his book, 'Father of Mine', on his website. It's laughable. I bet that book has sold ten copies.
  21. I don’t think the college GPS seems 1:1 translatable to the NFL. Tyreek Hill barely cracks 22, but a bunch of college guys are reported to be 23. Jaylen Wright is faster than Tyreek? Doubt it. However, GPS does also track acceleration and deceleration speed. They talked about this for Javon Baker.
  22. I am glad our coaching staf fis going. This is such a huge year for us, having 6 picks in the top 103 and 2 overall. Nailing this draft could obviously really set us up. Regarding Daniels, I never thought he would run. He is going to eat 30k calories a day for the 2 weeks prior, lead weights for the 24 hours prior and drink 2 gallons of water before he weighs in. He was never going to run. And it wouldn't be smart for him to throw either. I wonder what Mayes will do. I really want to see what he measures, and I'd love it if he ran and jumped. If he throws, and kills it, looking better than everyone else, that could help him solidify the 2nd spot. However, I think there is probably more risk for May in throwing. If he doesn't really stand out as head and shoulders above the other guys in throwing drills, it could open the door for Daniels.
