I’d bet dollars to donuts that this story has been unfolding well prior to this team being 1-4. Given the amount of sources and vetting required on something like this, this story has been in play for months. So Ron is psychic and knew Wentz wasn’t going to save his football team, and instructed one of his guys leak this to the press in advance?

You really loathe Ron that much, that you can accept every other item in the report, with the exception of the one item that alleviates him of a little blame. 🤣

The lengths in which your brain will dive into conspiracy vs. what’s staring you right in the face is absolutely remarkable. To the extent, I question if you actually believe in these theories or if it’s just an outright refusal to submit and admit you’ve been wrong all along. Which is actually a very Snyder-like trait. 🤔

You were saying? Again, you just scramble to find reasons Dan is not at fault for x, y or z.

You said that too. You’ve been all over the place, well all over everything but Dan had any influence on getting Wentz, of course.

So just earlier today, you believed Rivera had conspired to make an issue with his “quarterback” statement, in advance of this report. Now you believe his response in the denial. 🤣 But he’s also a terrible coach and only on his own merit, the owner has no impact on him or his team. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Your conspiracy theory would hold more weight if this report was from the post. The best they could get that was both cheap and fast. That won’t be an issue for a new owner.

I’d just assume make him and sit and be embarrassed than eat any of his deal to ship him elsewhere. I simply don’t see who would want him for anything more than a mere fraction of what we’re paying him.

I’ve not seen any arguments by anyone that the billionaire boys club that is NFL ownership are beacons of integrity and morals. Of course it’s about money. We just dgaf what their reasons for removing him are. Just remove him, so we can rejuvenate our fandom.

Can you provide any examples where leaks about Dan’s interference or injection into football decisions, where he’s ever been vindicated? You go on and on, about how every coach just uses Dan as a scapegoat for everything, yet you have no proof or evidence to back these theories up. Dan, the king of petty and vindictive guy who litigates against old ladies, conducts background investigations, and will generally sue or threaten to sue anyone for coming at him sideways. Sure, everyone including reporters just all Willy-nilly tell lies about him and he chooses to do absolutely nothing about it.

I realize you are being facetious, but not a chance in hell that Dan knew who WJ3 was. Dan is a splash guy.

What purpose does it serve any of those guys to make this up or leak it?

Of everything in that article, that was perhaps the most egregious thing written by anyone speaking for the team. I get lawyers will say anything for a buck, but my god…

Why exactly? The team is 1-4, and generally looks like 💩. I might understand this if the team actually looked decent and that they had a shot to do something in the postseason. But they look horrendous and they aren’t entertaining to boot.

What good does it do Ron or any of his gang, to leak that Wentz was Dan’s idea? Why would John Keim of all people co-sign this narrative? Dude has been the most credible reporter on all things this team since he got here. This is a narrative that you get out there after you’ve been fired. Not in the midst of a 1-4 season, about a guy you’ve went above and beyond to say you believe in. There is zero motive for Ron or any of his folks, to put this in the atmosphere at this juncture. This is literally the worst possible situation for him going into this game tonight.

There’s just about a zero chance that QB wasn’t agenda item #1 for every conversation Ron and Dan had in the offseason. I’m sure they talked though all the scenarios, and once they lost out on Wilson, pressure was applied to get a deal done for Wentz. That’s not to say Ron didn’t want Wentz. If I was Ron, I’d rather have Wentz than anyone in the draft. It just makes more sense now why they didn’t waste any more time to acquire him and paid up.

@Captain Wiggles Those tweets are what he was being asked about. They were curious if it was personal to be dragging him like that. He said it wasn’t personal at all, who knows on that front. But he definitely implied that WJ3 is dumb and needs a ton of direction to be successful - something he had from vets in Cincy.

She even kind of looks like Wendy Byrd. However, Dan is a far cry from Marty - looks, height, and clearly brains wise.

There’s a blurb in there about that, as a secondary option. I almost threw up. What an absolute joke that would be, almost as big of a joke as the statement in there that she’s one of the best business people in America or some outrageously unbelievable statement.

If there is one certainty of Dan including himself in football operations, historically - it’s always been at the QB position. He’s quoted in the article as telling folks he needs a QB and a stadium as his silver bullets. He is on record telling politicians as he pitches for gambling on site at Fed Ex, “We finally got ourselves a QB”. Why would this time be any different? Again, that’s not to say Ron had no interest in Wentz, or had another plan. But it would be silly to pretend Snyder had zero influence and only approved the decision after Ron made all the plans to make it happen.

Color me shocked that you don’t believe that. 😂 It’s pretty clear that leak isn’t coming from Ron, or any of his confidants. If it is, it’s not because he wanted that dropped to save him blame. It does nothing to help him at 1-4, in a must win game tonight to have that information leak. That’s not to say Ron was disgusted with the idea of bringing in Wentz, but to suggest this is leaked to benefit him makes no sense to me. Perhaps if he was recently fired, maybe.
