  1. This is my favorite, when the goobers tell us what to do. Well your handle is pretty telling isn’t it. The sky is always falling with guys like you? Nice to meet you Mr Pessimism You must be new here.
  2. Perhaps it’s a thing with screen names ending in 93, but this @skinsfan93 guy is on a thumbs down parade, as if he took the baton from @Cooleyfan1993.
  3. Heinicke is an enigma. It’s hard to even describe, because he generally plays an awful game of pro football but somehow, some way pulls miracles out of his ass. I’m not even sure how you put the way he plays into words. You’re watching and thinking there’s just no good reason this guy should lead a game winning drive, but he’s done it on several occasions. I said this in the gameday thread but I think it’s most appropriate here… Heinicke = Heroin. Intoxicating highs, that are incredibly detrimental to your future.
  4. I personally don’t give a flying eff how others feel about the game. If wins like yesterday get folks excited, great for them. That doesn’t mean I have to pretend the game was something it wasn’t. I feel great for Terry, the defense and even TH. It was still bad football, that was barely watchable for 3 hours, that I wouldn’t get carried away about.
  5. I was not aware that my lack of enthusiasm impacts your ability to be happy. It seems you are doing a rather swell job of convincing yourself that things aren’t as bad as they really are though.
  6. Maybe it’s just me, but after the Commanders statement was released about Irsay violating the “constitution” and that their teams would meet on Sunday….I lost any desire to beat the Colts. Being a fan of this team requires mental gymnastics to begin with but just thinking of Dan leaving Indy smug and happy is not something I like to think about.
  7. Defense is definitely better now than it has been for sure, but Ehlinger also looks like the kind of guy you can tank with. Its not about it looking easy, but there’s a reason why we get the Z broadcast team. Because it’s Taylor Heinicke vs. Sam Ehlinger, which is what leads to some pretty awful football for 58 minutes. Credit to Heinicke and Terry though for saving it in the last two minutes.
  8. This is nothing new. Year after sad year, we win some games - often times in barely watchable battles where the team that was less bad is victorious. I’m actually kind of surprised that we still have fans that care enough to want to celebrate victory Mondays, and get upset that others aren’t as happy as they are. The NFL is a hell of a drug. It’s wild that we can have a team owned by an outright awful human being, turn what was once gold into poop, change its name and uniforms, and field generally mediocre to bad football teams year after year…and yet still have fans that know all this be hyped up to win a 17-16 slopfest against a 6th round midget starting his first game.
  9. Just a few weeks ago, general consensus was this team is trash, as is Ron and all his coordinators. Everybody needed to be fired. Call me crazy, but I still feel like we have the same team we had a few weeks ago. This team per usual puts me in a tough spot, because of course I’m happy for Terry and the players who work their butts off. They don’t deserve to lose every week. But I can’t pretend that yesterdays game didn’t look a lot like too many games we’ve watched over the past 3 years. Which is just generally bad football that one bad team must win.
  10. C’mon man, if it was slightly not accurate, it wouldn’t be up for debate. Slightly not accurate balls get caught no questions asked all the time. An average arm has Terry scoring standing up. The ball was not ‘slightly’ under thrown.
  11. Just go back and watch the play, it’s on here several times. An average throw and the DB doesn’t even have a chance. It was the throw that made it a 50/50 ball that it didn’t need to be. I’m not even sure how it’s debatable that it was a risky throw (for him) at that juncture. My gut reaction was that it was picked off only to see Terry emerge with the ball because he made a monster play. I give credit to Heinicke for keeping plays alive to get to that point but that throw is the type to make it all for naught.
  12. Just for the record, I’m aware that most games are close in the NFL. I generally subscribe to the ‘a win is a win’ theory. I subscribe to this though, only for actual good teams that have bad days or have a bunch of guys out, that scrap their way to a win. But it’s really disingenuous to pretend that these “gritty” wins like Chicago and today in Indy are anything more than getting a W for sucking less than the competition. Just because the game ends with a win, doesn’t mean it’s winning football.
  13. So what you are saying is that you are willing to concede that whining about the fans and telling them to stop watching the team is lame, right?
  14. ^^^Closely rivaling the Hive, is the “You fans suck, stop watching” guy.^^^
  15. Heineke is basically heroin to the few fans this team has left. He provides an intoxicating high, but the long term effects are incredibly detrimental to your health.
  16. It’s looking like there will be no royal blue and white Jordan’s in Heineke’s closet.
  17. I heard some folks on the radio this week compare Ehlinger to Heineke. I didn’t give it much thought, not remembering much from his college days- but I’ll be damned, they were right. There are also Colts fans super pumped for this guy to play. A true sign of QB purgatory.
  18. And you can’t go wrong with that, in fact - add some browned chorizo to it and yum yum yum.
  19. Looks like a good recipe. Sometimes, simple is better. Agreed, I’m just not normally one to use the seasoning packets, canned soups and stuff like that. Smells great in here though. Here’s the written recipe: https://belleofthekitchen.com/mississippi-pot-roast/
