  1. No, he was a head case. Disappeared for no reason. Had the same issue in college. You can hear him in a conversation with Will Compton that he wasn't really into it. It's not like he went to Denver and was a blockbuster. Dude played 5 games before they booted him. Does that mean the medical staff was perfect/ No. But Sua's biggest problem was between his ears.
  2. I did not see this anywhere else. It's a highlight reel and it's impressive. He definitely has potential at both WR and RB but I could see the Skins using him more in passing.
  3. I am so sorry for your loss. It is hard to lose a friend like that. And they are truly friends. Only difference is they never disappoint you. I lost Zoe, who I had for 13 yrs, just before I moved here - about 3 yrs ago. There is still not a single day that goes by without me thinking about her. The good news is the longer it goes the more good I remember. I so want to get another cat but I am afraid it will just not be anything like Zoe and I will just miss Zoe more.
  4. I agree Cowherd knows less. But not convinced Skip knows that much football. And yes he can be critical of dallast players and still be an insufferable homer. It's like finger nails on a chalk board when he talks. And he wrong so much of the time. Which is fine. It's actually hard to do what those guys do and be right that much. Especially since I am almost certain they are forced by the producers to take opposite sides even if they actually agree. Two people completely agreeing with each other does not keep viewers or sell ads. So fair enough. He is just so arrogant about it all. And rarely ever admits he was wrong. BTW: He is also a huge Big 12 fan which is why he liked RGIII more than Luck - among others.
  5. This may be the best news I have seen in months. Skip is a complete moron. Definitely easier to count what he has gotten right than what he has gotten wrong. He is such a dallast homer. Had dallast picked him he would talking about how Young would be terroizing the NFC East for a decade or more.
  6. Ok, we got what we wanted. Was so glad once the pick was in it wasn't something like Tua or Herbert or even Simmons who I like a lot but not nearly as much as Young. Jack Del Rio is one of the happiest men alive in the NFL... 🙂
  7. Again, as you like to do, you miss or ignore the point. More $ or more per capita? Of course they got more $ but they also pay much more in taxes. There are about 4.5M people in KY vs about 19.5M people in NY. That's why I posted the NET numbers. So while they may have received more $ they also pay more $. In fact they pay so much that it's net negative so they are still funding others - which is fine. They are not complaining. It's the KY senator who's state is a drain, a welfare state that is complaining.
  8. No, he is not likely to stop running his ignorant mouth but that does not mean he shouldn't. Just keeps showing what a POS he is. He ran his mouth implying KY supports "blue states" and you followed it up with he doesn't want to pay for blue state excesses. The facts show that in terms of real $s KY is the drain on society, not NY who actually pays more per person than they receive. That is the point I was making. I never said anything about them not helping. That's the republicans thing. **** everyone else I just want mine. But then come crying when they need help when it's the dems who are paying the bill! 🙂 And then top it off by blaming everyone else for their own failings. As if they are owed something. It's why they are so easily fooled by the toddler in chief.
  9. The problem is that NY for example receives a net negative in terms of federal funding vs taxes paid where KY is a very high net positive. The numbers are: KY receives a net $9,145 per resident of KY NY loses a net of $1,792 per resident - that number being a negative. So if he is claiming KY is paying for "blue states preexisting excesses" that is a lie. In fact KY residents receive an average of $10,937.00 more than the average NY resident. So as a state KY is a huge welfare state. For California, they receive a net of $12. So the difference is $9,133 per resident more. In fact KY is the second largest welfare state in terms of net federal funding per resident. So Mitch really just needs to just STFU.
  10. No doubt. The Pandora's box being opened by this administration on so many levels is going to come back to haunt the republicans. it's not a matter of if, it's when. I just worry about will it be soon enough and will the results really be what's best for people not part of the government/military elite.
  11. You are all missing one thing. The ruling class - congress and the military to be specific - cannot make money and control things with civil unrest. Trump is secondary. They will decide together what is in their best interest and that is who will be supported. Any civil unrest will be met with swift and decisive action. All those people going to buy guns to "defend" themselves, will have wasted their money. As Jim Jefferies said - "you realize you are bringing a gun to drone fight right?" Our only hope is for congress and the military to decide that trump is more of a problem than he is worth. If so they will ensure we have elections. This is a good news bad news thing. The good news is there is very little chance there is some large scale long time "civil war". The bad news is I could very easily see the democrats in the interest of preserving what little power they have only putting up a token fight against trumps tyranny. And we already know the republicans are all cowards. So do not be surprised if we end up with 4, 6 or 8 more yrs of this buffoon unless he dies before hand. But of course evil never dies. So there's that.
  12. In the purest sense it is better to owe the government than have them owe you. You get to keep your money and make it weork for you. I personally target owing from $500 to $1000. I get there most times. However, if you are in a low income bracket and also know yourself to not have the best spending habits, letting the government can keep your money and then get it back is a good way for that person to save. Yes, it may cost them a few pennies, maybe even a few $s, although savings accounts pay almost nothing, but everyone's situation is different. I can see younger people and anyone else with a low income that it might be easier for them to just let the govt hold the money and it costs them almost nothing. Someone brought up they would pay more in credit card debt. It's possible. But again if they are not making much money they were likely to do that any way. The delta will most likely be pennies or at the most a few dollars. But I would not call those people "stupid" as someone above did. Each person has a different situation. They have to make the best decision for them.
  13. If there is any justice in the world at all, there will be enough less of them due to their own ignorance that he will not get reelected. I would never root for anyone to die. But I will have a hard time feeling too bad for any of these idiots who make the decision to ignore protecting themselves and it comes back on them. You can't fix stupid!
  14. Anyone else see this? That's 54" or 4.5' Yikes, dude is a freak of nature athletically? Thursday cannot get here soon enough! SOrry would not let me just put the image in. I will keep trying but here is the Youtube link. https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugx5ybqfjGFR99l1JAZ4AaABCQ
  15. Here is a video for those of you who like the Rat Pack era that at the time was called "The Frank Sinatra Spectacular". It was broadcast live on closed circuit TV. It was all for charity and arranged by Frank Sinatra. Johnny Carson is the MC/Host. It highlights Dean, Sammy, and Frank. They each perform separately and then finish together. Johnny even sings with them at one point. There are a lot of songs but also some good jokes and humor. These guys all knew how to entertain. Hope you enjoy. It's about 1.5 hrs long. Over the years I have watched it from start to finish about 10 times.
  16. For me - again the guy who agrees with a true UBI - if you remove the means testing and just give it to everyone, then all these arguments go away. There is nothing fair or unfair. It just is. Everyone gets a check. The additional checks to cover the "rich" pale in comparison to those who would now get a check that needs it and will use it.
  17. I was not asking for myself. I am not getting a check. But I saw the issue in the news and was wondering if anyone hear was seeing the issue. Great responses from everyone. Thanks!
  18. Anyone have any issues like this - checks sent to wrong accounts? If you have not received your money maybe this is why? https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/stimulus-checks-being-sent-wrong-011537505.html
  19. None of us know the circumstances which I get is part of your point. But having seen many take advantage of things they should not I can see why the concern. Probably time to move on.
  20. Class warfare?? Wow that's pretty extreme for a simple observation about that either someone is taking advantage of a system that should not or that should have been smarter about their purchases so that missing a few weeks pay check means you need to sit in a food line. Fair enough, neither of those may be true. For example the car could have been a gift. Or maybe it was paid off a few yrs ago but then they lost their job last year. I get both sides but I ask you at least see that what she said is just as possible as what you said.
  21. All threads have their sore points. If we all always agreed then what would be the fun... It's part of being Extreme Skins 🙂 And actually at least for me it's good to see and have the conversations. Can be a good place to air those thoughts. Maybe not. Maybe it ends up being a big complaint session. Hope not. So far it's mostly been decent discussion.
  22. Or it could be instead of over extending herself, she made better decisions so that when a situation like this happens she is better prepared. If you can't withstand being out of work for more than a few weeks than maybe you really shouldn't have bought that expensive a car to begin with. You clearly cannot afford it. It is anything but a bull**** argument and more than yours is. It's just a different point of view.
