Yes, I’m using hindsight here in calling it a potentially suboptimal outcome. Odunze and Moore are largely irrelevant if Caleb busts or is just an “average” starter, while Stroud becomes a legit top 5 QB.
It really just speaks to the impact the QB position has on everyone’s fortunes within an organization. If the Bears somehow screw up Caleb Williams landing in their lap (which may happen given they went the lame duck HC route yet AGAIN), their decision to pass on Stroud will be questioned for years to come with the benefit of hindsight, fairly or not.
