  1. I just want the draft to get here. This one pick can set us on a path to be where the Packers or Saints are on this list 20 years from now.
  2. Some posters still don't realize just how fortunate we are to be in the #2 position in this QB rich draft, which could be historic.
  3. Why would people think this excludes the Bears? It’s more likely he just doesn’t want his medical info out there to teams who have no shot at drafting him - such as his future division rivals.
  4. Well, looks like we found our new topic of debate for today. I honestly don’t think it’s a big deal, but I’m sure there are those who will draw certain conclusions from this.
  5. It's just another data point. There's no end-all be-all when it comes to QB evaluation. As a guy who works in finance, just thought the correlation metrics were interesting... especially given "age" is an important consideration given the current options at our #2 pick. Here's more detail: Quarterback When mapping each of the combine data points to a quarterback’s total EPA per season, we can see that broad jump is the combine measurement to watch while age, three cone, and weight influence a quarterback’s production as well. When it comes to broad jump, there is a positive correlation as some of the better quarterbacks in the league did well in broad jump like Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts. There also does appear to be a cutoff at around 110 inches where no one under that has been a long-term productive starter since 2016. When it comes to draft position, age is a factor for teams as the median age for quarterbacks taken in the 1st round is 21.8 while the median age after the 1st round is 23.1. When it comes to combine events specifically, three cone and broad jump are understood by teams as being important while they place much less weight on shuttle and vertical jump.
  6. Don't really care about their mechanics. Don't have a lot of time right now, but here are a few of the areas I see them as similar players: Toughness can never be questioned for either player Two of the best runners at the QB position to come out in years Push the ball downfield consistently, primarily with sideline throws Absurdly low intermediate middle of the field throw rate for 1st round QBs Below average feel for pressure in the pocket, leading to some of the highest pressure to sack rates among their peers Eyes drop and look to take off (instead of looking to throw) much more often than not when scrambling
  7. My comp to Fields earlier in this thread was dismissed, but that is really who Daniels reminds me of most.
