  1. Michael Jordan played pickup basketball games after he broke his foot in his second season. Drove his front office crazy. They tried to manage his playing time/activity after that (in addition to them trying to tank), and he wasn't having it. That's partially where his bad blood with Jerry Krause originated. All that to say, some guys just care more about competing than worrying over their health. And most "superstar" players have that in common (not to say Maye will definitely be one). Kudos to Daniels as well, because it's apparent he plays with that reckless mindset once it's game time (though he obviously needs to tone that way down when it comes to his running).
  2. If the pick is Daniels, I have to say that Dan Quinn kind of gave the game away early. Calling Daniels a “game-changer” when playing word association (which was by far the strongest reaction from him out of all the QBs) and gushing over the way Daniels goes through progressions. I have to say that was around the time I really started to think we were leaning Daniels despite my preference for Maye. Early warning sign that we may need to keep this guy away from a mic whenever we’re trying to hide our intentions.
  3. This may be the first time I've seen a prospect openly admit he is being drafted by a specific team. He's not wrong, but it's still a bit cringe. Also, it's wild how small he looks next to Maye here:
  4. My guess is the Giants will be all in for Maye on Thursday, and if they miss they'll draft a QB in a later round.
  5. Given how competitive Maye is, the chip on his shoulder is going to be absolutely massive if we pass on him and he somehow ends up on the Giants. I can see him circling us on the calendar every year for the rest of his career.
  6. You do want a backup who has a chance to win you games though, especially with a QB who is a massive walking injury risk as your starter. Anyone that has more faith in Mariota winning games as a starter over Howell, with the same talent around them, has a blindfold on when watching games.
