  1. Another turd in the punchbowl game. No winning streaks for us! SEA 31 WAS 13
  2. Does no one remember the pathetic history of USC QBs in the NFL??? The guy's already got two strikes against him.
  3. Exactly what the Redskins should have done with Cousins.
  4. They panicked rather than make the bold decision to let a semi-okay starting QB walk. Now, they're stuck with him for a while, and they'd have been just as good this year with Tyrod Taylor starting.
  5. It's fun thinking back to last year when everyone was calling the Giants' FO a bunch of masterminds after they squeaked into the playoffs.
  6. Thinking on it overnight, this win shows exactly what the Commanders are this year--yet another one of those "lower middle" teams that Ron specializes in. Not actually bad, but not actually good, either. Howell has the potential to be the real deal, I think. I'm hoping next year's administration will help make it happen. The DL was noticeably worse without Young and Sweat, but I also noticed that the Pats often focused on quick-developing plays. Not that it helped them much with Mac's atrocious throws all day.
  7. The Patriots are "ugly tough," so I didn't expect a sweeping win, but the Commanders added more drama than there needed to be. Today was a mixture of solid play and too many missed opportunities.
  8. We're just lucky that the Pats have a garbage offense.
  9. That is some prime Commanders stuff, right there.
  10. As soon as I posted, Howell decides to start airing it out. LOL.
  11. You don't have to be an analytics guru to see the value in these trades. Kind of telling that it had to be the new guy to explain the obvious.
  12. Following Mark Davis' example is rarely a good idea. Josh should do the classy and less chaotic thing and fire the coaching staff and the Martys on Black Monday.
  13. I'm a little surprised they moved both Young and Sweat and figured they would try to keep one of them. I thought they might try to move Brissett, too, given the sudden uptick in injured QBs across the league.
  14. I don't think it'll make a difference unless there's a playoff victory, which looks extremely unlikely at this point. Somehow, this team seems weaker than Ron's first three here, and it's gotten worse as the season has gone along.
  15. Eugene Shen fires up his Magic Analytics Machine for the first time here, and the first tickertape it spits out says "fire everyone at halftime." PHI - 31 WAS - 17
  16. Have said what I said, though, I'll play devil's advocate and say that Belichick's fondness for scrappy overachievers seems to have finally caught up with him. That would have been a problem no matter what. It worked while he had Brady in the center of it all, but the lack of offensive talent on the current Patriots is pretty amazing. And Bill has had several years to move on from Brady but seems lost. A hard no to bringing him in here. In fact, that seems like the type of splashy-but-ineffective move The Former Owner would make.
  17. It could just be that Magic likes to vent on Twitter/X. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
  18. Belichick had his favored QB successor all ready in Jimmy Garoppolo. And then Brady kept playing and playing, and Kraft backed him rather than allowing Bill to trade him.
