  1. Au contraire. It's simply the delicious buildup to another excruciating 8-8 disaster for "America's Team."
  2. Thing is, literally every single year of McCarthy's tenure in GB included a first-ballot hall-of-famer at QB. Despite that, he only made it to the Super Bowl once. Doesn't mean he's a bad coach, but he's probably not the best choice to get the Cowboys to the SB.
  3. Not as much as he wants full control at all costs. Terrible hire. Cowboys need someone to take firm control of that locker room and turn it into a team. Not that I'm complaining...
  4. I recall an expose, I think it was at ESPN, of the dysfunctional relationship between Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy. Rodgers didn't come off great, but McCarthy sounded clueless. Rodgers became disgusted with the playcalling and supposedly started calling his own plays in the huddle. Sounds like a perfect Jerry Jones hire...
  5. From ESPN: "A team source did confirm the Cowboys had a recent telephone conversation with former NFL coach Jeff Fisher, who took the Tennessee Titans to Super Bowl XXXIV and whose regular-season record is 173-165-1, with a 5-6 playoff record. Fisher is highly regarded by Jones and team vice president Stephen Jones, but Fisher's three-year hiatus since being fired by the Los Angeles Rams in 2016 was a detriment to scheduling a formal interview." Please, Santa Claus, please make Jeff Fisher the next Cowboys coach. I've behaved really well so far this year.
  6. I'll be in such a good mood if the Cowboys hire McCarthy or Lewis. 😄
  7. My guess is that Ron will want someone more experienced to be his OC.
  8. The Pats always seem to refocus for the playoffs. I'm not willing to write them off yet.
  9. In the long term, those three Lombardi trophies the Cowboys won in the early 90s were a problem, since they gave Jerry the delusion that he's a talented "football guy." Cowboys fans have been paying for that ever since. Jerry can throw together some very talented guys, but he cannot, for the life of him, assemble a *team*.
  10. Same here! It's nice, for at least one good week, not to be rooting for the most dysfunctional team in the league.
  11. Don't worry, Browns fans, I'm sure Urban Meyer will come in and fix it all right up!
  12. I'd almost say that Garrett must have something embarrassing on Jerry, except that Jerry is probably incapable of feeling embarrassment.
  13. Welcome to DC, Terry! I must have landed in a parallel universe where the Skins' FO is doing a top-notch job...
