Yep, looks like he's going out of it.. The stress of the trial starting on Monday and him having to sit there every day and listen to the recap of what was all done, especially his part, may be enough. He has to appear in a criminal trial, unlike a civil trial. I forgot to mention that after my stroke, I noticed some changes to my personality, minor though they were. Some people have more major personality changes.

As a recovered stroke person, it's no joke. Given his diet and little exercise he's headed that way and I'm sure he's been told this stuff. The criminal trial will hit him because he has to appear in court every day and not just when he feels like it. It's a very small example of what having to be somewhere you don't want to be is what prison or house detention is like.

Something has happened to his brain if he's walking with a swing with his right leg. I have a slight swing with my left leg, the side of me affected by the stroke. Sometimes it's slight and sometimes more of exaggerated, it's always there. And he has aphasia, I can tell. Especially when he's tired. I'm guessing slight strokes and he can afford to get the right drugs that treat strokes and he doesn't have to go to the hospital, probably has a set up in his bedroom that he doesn't share with his wife.

Well, the moussaka went into the fridge. I wanted it firmer to cut into pieces and it will work better cold. So tomorrow is a feast day. Next Greek dish is pastissio, which I think will be much easier to make. Special noodles, meat sauce, and bechamel sauce. Will be later this month. BTW, the bechamel sauce turned out really great on the moussaka. I can't wait to taste it. Nutmeg is the main spice. It baked up firm and perfect, at least it looks that way.

Moussaka, out of the oven! Goodness, a multiday production for sure. It's basically an all day process even though the recipe says 3 hours. Maybe if there's two ovens, and several cooks! It took over an hour just for the bechamel sauce. It's cooling down now. I'm giving about half to my daughter and granddaughter. More pictures when I dish it out. That might be much later today!

My daughter's father's family was always kind to me. He committed suicide when she was 3, I never saw them after the funeral because he didn't tell his family about her. My first girlfriend's mother was accepting, controlled alcoholic, the father was dead. She was still alive when we broke up and I didn't see her again, the siblings were okay. My second girlfriend's mother was a sweet woman who died too soon. I wish I had known her longer. The parents were divorced so never met the father, met a couple of the aunts who were accepting. Her siblings were a strange mix and I was glad to leave them behind when we parted. My last girlfriend's parents were dead, her son didn't like me and when he committed suicide are relationship lasted a while longer but didn't survive. When my daughter married, I told her I wouldn't interfere in her relationship she could always come to me and I wouldn't offer advice unless she directly asked for some. My ex SIL is a nice man, a good father, not very ambitious sadly. Whenever we meet, it's cool.
