I hope these statements all come out in the trial. Plus Trump wants it televised for all to see him as he is, which given his narssisism means he thinks he's great. Personally, I want the audio only because then we can't see him mugging for the video. That takes away his visuals because his attorneys aren't going to let him say squat in any criminal courtroom. And if he does actually testify, the prosecution is prepared for that too and will bury him under perjury charges. In memory of my brother's birthday, Trump goes to criminal trial and he loses. I actually agree with you here. However, we all were exposed to Trump trying to overthrow an election since before the November 2020 election day, and since then even unto today and every day forward.

I think that this was the partial gift to Trump in the short term. He's going to lose anyway in the general. His core is consolidating, the rest of the electorate is jumping ship if they voted for him in 2020 (for some reason). I also think that the supremes are voting against immunity because they know that any power they've recently asserted will be essentially be gone because a dictator will abolish them, Constitution or not. They don't want their centuries long reputation to be that the caused the death of the United States. So Trump's going to trial no matter if judge Cannon delays her trial to after the election because it won't matter because Trump won't be president and won't be able to get rid of the federal trials. Bad day for Trump really, looking at the long game.

His problem is he's out of it due to all of his court cases, civil and criminal. Plus he's hoping like hell that the supremes will okay his immunity claim, which I think they'll be crazy to grant because that also gives Biden free reign right now. If I was a president and the supremes gave immunity, the first thing I'd do is get rid of the supremes, stack the DoJ with my prosecutors, charge every single one of the insurrectionists with treason including anyone in government from Congress on down to states and the military. Then after the rats nest of Fascists was cleared out, set new elections for Congress, uphold the 14th Amendment Section 3, appoint a new Supreme Court, and get on with running the country.
