  1. Who Is in to run it back for 2023? i will be reaching out individually over the next couple of days. But if you see this and reply I will take your answers early in this thread and consider you in if you respond. Please go ahead and let us know. I’ll go first, I’m in.
  2. Let’s just stop Sullying what shouldn’t be sullied in the slightest just yet. Be open to what change the universe brings us. We are fortunate it will no longer be Snyder. Feeling grateful.
  3. I totally agree that the youth component is completing missing. We are working with bandaids, also rans, and could be maybe's. Sometimes it works and sometimes it implodes. I'm just thinking about giving Sam the best chance to succeed. We gotta do right by him, we gotta do better than this imo. We are playing with fire. Hoping for more this offseason.
  4. Obviously the draft is yet to come and there is always additional FA possibilities. BUT, given the context of losing Matsko, our FA signings, and our OL performance last year I would characterize addressing the OL and upgrading it, as POOR to this point. I really hope we plan on doing more for this unit as I would be highly concerned heading into the season with the unit as currently constituted. Let's start with getting an OL coach in here and building this thing out properly.
  5. Brissett is about the best we could have hoped for in a backup QB. The team smashed this. Now let’s see Sam light it up!
  6. Seems like we are waiting out on the guys who want more $. Whoever is left will be our guy. Looks like that is the plan. At least it implies that it is completely Howell or bust this year. It’s kind fun and exciting,.
  7. Probably right, Also Brissett that I left off but I’m figuring he’s also out of our price range.. Choices are definitely running out, clock is ticking.
  8. Pickings are getting slim..Hope we take care of this soon. A Legit backup is kind of essential. My hopes are Bridgewater/Mayfield/Minshew in that order.
  9. IDK, I'd be real careful at spending decent to lower money to any of the lower end OL and thinking we have resolved our issues.... Isn't that what got us in this situation to begin with? Sometimes you can only do so much with the raw materials you have. Matsko can only do so much. It may be more prudent to at least lock down what we deem to be the most important spot with a considerable yet not wallet busting investment. Which would be the most important spot? LG, C, RG, RT? Hoping we can do better than last year at fixing up our OL..
  10. There were many questions wether we would do it, given it would tie up our cap and have other financial implications. That was my general point, many people stress too much on the cap, the players salaries and how the team is affected imo. No biggie.
  11. Most overhyped hyperbolic concern for fans in the entire NFL and on this forum. The players salary’s and the salary cap in general. People said signing Payne wasn’t possible and we wouldn’t franchise him. Then we franchise him and extend him. LOL. Good for us to sign and keep one of our great great young players. !! #butescrow
  12. Im at the parade, just tell me when. Me and the whole fam will be there.
  13. Kyrie seems Bat**** crazy. Like clinical, get some help buddy please. A A Ron seems like he's having a mid life crisis, is rich, single, and is an attention seeking whore. lol. Full of himself. Both can go fly a kite.
  14. Yes, I understand people want to play judge and jury on incidents from 20 years ago, I get it. But for me personally, I do not. He's been working for Andy Reid for quite some time, just helped them win a Super Bowl, and now would be coming to our team to help us. I'm cool with that. Ron is a character guy, if he's ok with EB, I am too. For those who aren't, I respect that.
  15. I trust Ron in vetting EB’s character. I’d be excited for the hire if that is what we decide to do.
  16. This episode was awesome imo! Loved it. Lot's of changes from the game but overall have been fine with what they've done...Super enjoyable.
  17. Hahahahaha….please do not give this guy the benefit of any doubt. He’s a grade a moron of the highest order who doesn’t give a rats ass about the black community.
  18. An absolute Legend...The architect. The best we've had....EVER.........RIP Bobby Beathard..
  19. I thought episode 3 was a very nice nod to love, companionship, & humanity all In the midst of incredibly difficult dreadful times. I just found it a bit boring. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Ready for the adventure ahead.
  20. I think letting Payne walk would be a colossal mistake. Really intrigued by Edmunds. I doubt we'd spend that much, but dang if we couldn't use him.. Would expect a very quiet FA period, But who knows.
  21. I think if it would happen it would be by Ron himself. Ron becomes president of football ops, the Marty’s at GM, and Payton at coach with all the support He could ever want. We either become major players for a big time vet qb, Brady/Rodgers or Payton turns Sam into a Gem. Bezos or Harris Finalize the sale and let the adults handle the team. haha one could dream.
  22. Looks like he's been Baby Gronk almost his entire career. I know he didn't ask for it but unfortunately its who he has been compared to, not super fair I guess.. https://fansided.com/2021/09/05/notre-dame-football-michael-mayer-baby-gronk/ https://chicago.suntimes.com/2021/5/8/22422456/baby-gronk-michael-mayer-has-grown-up-in-a-hurry-tight-end-notre-dame-irish https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35204232/notre-dame-te-michael-mayer-declaring-nfl-draft-skipping-bowl
  23. My biggest concern for Mayer in the first is his speed, agility, and overall athletic ability. If he were more lean and fluid like Kelce, I'd feel better about him. My concern is he turns too lumbering and slow as he matures body wise. He can still be really effective even if he's slower and lumbering. I'm just thinking out loud. Maybe the guys who know him well can speak to this concern, but its what I think when I see him play. How will this look in 3-5 years? Would love to give Howell a security blanket, is he the right one for the first round? Is he Gronk or is he Kyle Rudolph?
