Wheel of time bogs down pretty bad in the middle. The last 3 books recover nicely though. I'm about halfway through the last one and also reading leviathan falls, depending on which mood I'm in.

I think the team could buy a third year of his rights pretty cheap right now with near 0 risk- something like a 5m signing bonus, tack on a non guaranteed 3rd year at a 5m salary with a 10m roster bonus due at the start of the third league year. -
The jiffy mix uses baking soda as the rising agent instead of yeast so it has more of a crumbly biscuit texture

Made butternut squash bisque for my contribution to the feast at the in-laws. Roast cubed peeled squash, a few smashed garlic cloves, 2 diced medium onions, a few carrots, salt, white pepper, turmeric, paprika, smothered in oil until everything is soft. Then into the blender with a couple quarts of chicken stock until smooth. On the subject of cookbooks, I tend to just look for techniques and food-spice combinations that I can put together in interesting ways myself vs. following a recipe.
