  1. Looks like a tweener LB/Safety. Especially wearing that #36.
  2. I loved that interview. Really pulling for this guy.
  3. This guy was tasered then smothered to death for walking down the street: http://www.erienewsnow.com/story/39505549/facebook-executive-says-unreleased-video-contradicts-police-account-of-brothers-death
  4. Crowder coming back should help. It can't hurt. I like the way Doctson and Harris are developing. As a frame of reference, Harris' reception and yardage numbers are almost identical to Ryan Grant's 2017 pace. I'd like to see him score, but I think I've seen enough to think he will be an equal to or better replacement for Grant. If Doctson can continue his upward trajectory, he will be a legitimate #2.
  5. Demaryius Thomas traded to the Texans (to replace Will Fuller who tore his ACL).
  6. My theory on building your WR room. If you don't have a great all purpose guy (like Antonio Brown), the next best person to have is a burner who's speed must be respected. Like D-Jax. If you have a guy who draws safety coverage, it opens up other guys. You can then survive with pedestrian receivers because they receive less attention. The worst combination is to have average guys, none of whom draw down field coverage. That's why I think we should have kept D-Jax. Maybe Richardson is that guy but I'm not convinced.
  7. I hear you. Loosing Ryan Grant and Pryor, then adding Richardson and Quinn should at the very least be a wash. I'm just saying that is what this move tells me THEY are thinking. Also, 250 yards per game averages 4,000 yards. It's not THAT spectacular. Smith is already on pace to surpass 4,000 yards. He threw for 292 against INDY.
  8. Signing a WR off the street tells me that they think the existing guys aren't getting open. They don't think the lack of down-field production is on Alex Smith.
  9. These misses in the high rounds of the draft are hurting.
  10. Elliott is going to play week 1, then be suspended weeks 2 - 8 (they have a bye week 6). We play them week 8 so we will miss Elliott.
  11. <Comment deleted and moved to the "statues" thread>
  12. There were two choices so when you said: "Hillary, a socialist, and Trump" I assumed you were referring to Hillary as a socialist. Perhaps that isn't what you meant.
  13. Perhaps you meant Bernie but he wasn't on the ballot so that's where the confusion in your statement arose.
  14. Hillary is a socialist? I thought the narrative was that she was a shill for Wall Street. I don't think she ever suggested central control of the means of production.
  15. "I want to see concrete evidence before I support an investigation which attempts to discover the evidence" is failed logic.
  16. Wrongdoing could take more than one form. "Illegal" activities is one form. Another might be a deal between the Putin and Trump which may not be Illegal. Such ase: "I'll intervene in the election on your behalf if you agree to back away from Nato, the Paris agreement, and give us back our spy compound." The latter might not be illegal, but it's "wrong" if you care about American sovereignty and our interests. Add: What if "loans" to Trump owned business interests were part of the agreement? Quid pro quo.
  17. Ossoff winning would be a good start. It has been a red district since 1980 (this was Newt Gingrich's seat) so I'm not holding my breath but he does have a lead (in the polls). If this last presidential election taught me anything, it's that the polls aren't always right even when they show a large lead for one candidate. Fingers crossed. If he wins, Congress will notice.
  18. I agree. I think the "Russian influence" falls in to two camps. They did legal things such as propoganda through RT, social media and other means. Legal activities, intended to "hack the minds" of voters. The second bucket of "influence" are illegal activities such as hacking emails. If the Trump campaign took part (doubtful) or had knowledge of any illegal activities, that would be a problem. But I don't think the Russians hacked the ballot boxes, they didn't need to (not with this electorate). The third bucket of problems is the post election goings-on. If anything comes of this, it will be his mis-handling of what probably was nothing to begin with. He's so inept, I would not be surprised if he ended up committing a crime trying to influence or cover up something that was nothing to begin with.
  19. A line will be drawn when Republicans start losing seats in Congress. And that doesn't appear to happening any time soon, if the special elections are any indication. Nothing will change until they think their seats are in jeopardy.
  20. Good read here on reddit: https://np.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/6alzm0/fbi_confirms_activity_in_annapolis/dhfnm85/?sh=8bd62816&st=J2KZA1Y9
  21. Proud of how this team responded after a tough game 2 loss. Man, they could easily be up 2-1, but the silver lining is that it took an insane performance from Thomas to even get that game to overtime. Let's do this.
