I just watched the Guy Ritchie film The Gentlemen and it was outstanding. Mathew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Charlie Hunnam, and Colin Farrell were all exceptional. Highly recommended. Five stars.

From my perspective, we are a mess from top to bottom. We have millions of folks who are nothing more than modern-day wage slaves hanging on by their fingertips to survive. Millions of working poor. Half of Americans work a low-wage job. What does the GOP focus on? They're concerned someone is getting an extra couple of hundred dollars in their stimulus checks. Amazing. I am very disappointed in Obama too. I think his comments that drastic change being unneeded as a shot to Bernie was ridiculous and completely off the mark. Drastic change is precisely what is needed. Our focus should be on upward mobility for our citizens, stronger safety nets and protecting our most vulnerable. We fail miserably at all. We seem more concerned with bailing out corporations with CEOs making 300 times more than their average employee. I hope someday we have an administration that understands that having such large segments of the population in a precariat state hurts the entire nation and society. It makes no sense to me why we keep going down this path.

Profits over people. Capitalism without countervailing power is IMO why we have been in steady decline for 4 decades now. Canada is giving 2K to folks impacted and they do not have to worry about having the ability to pay for medical care. We should be embarrassed. Our priority is protecting Corporate America and billionaires.

A CEO who is not a greed obsessed and overpaid parasite? Did not know they existed. Good man.

We have the best Congress money can buy.

We would be much safer and better off as a whole if we had a Universal Basic Income and Medicare for All. Perhaps this virus will change more minds.

Looking forward to the day cannabis is legalized federally and the only crime that's been committed has been against the people. We've been lied to about this plant for decades now - lies rooted in racism and greed. So sick of hearing the same tired arguments against legalization and the vast majority of those against it are either woefully ignorant or profit from its illegal status. Thankfully, things are changing at a decent pace.

Florida is the most overrated state in the country by a mile. Looking forward to leaving for good in a few weeks.

Brawl in Cell Block 99 is awesome and highly recommended... Vince Vaughn gets laid off from his job and goes back to running drugs to provide for his family. A deal goes down bad and the drugs were lost. Vaugh's character actually saves the cops from being killed in a shootout. He gets a tough sentence in a medium security jail and is visited in jail by the drug dealer's consigliere and is presented with the choice of carrying out a supposed assignment for them in a different max prison or they kill his wife. Two thumbs way up!

I'm sure it must have been mentioned but Star Trek Discovery is excellent IMO...
