  1. If you've got talent, your contract is not untradeable. If the Wizards really push for a deal, they can send Wall out of town....of course with his blessing. I'd honestly keep an eye on the Lakers.
  2. Lack of accuracy and struggle to read college defenses didn't stop Josh Allen from going in the 1st LOL. Trust me, I get what you're getting at...but if he can put together a crazy stat year at OU and people look at his "intangibles" and winning pedigree he displayed at Alabama, I think he'll be gone no later than round 3 in the 2020 draft.
  3. That's a big roll of the dice on AD because there is no guarantee he'd stay in DC past 19-20. I'm all for doing whatever it takes to maximize that championship window...even if it's for one year. I still think this team rebuilds itself around Beal. I think a lot of ill-will can be mended if the FO shows they are committed to him as the bonafide number 1. Now, obviously the elephant in the room is John Wall, but EG would need to do everything in his power to try to trade him. If it was up to me, I'd try to move Porter, Ariza, and Green before this deadline and then work like hell to move Wall over the summer. Beal is far and away the 2nd best 2-guard in the league right now and his value has to be through the roof. Under team control for the next 3 seasons is a major plus.
  4. Jalen wants to play QB in the NFL. Saw the success the OU offenses had for Baker and Murray. He's going to have a chance to put up some video game numbers next year and re-establish himself as a Day 1/2 pro-prospect. *Reason why I'm talking about him re-establishing himself, is I guarantee there were whispers behind the scenes of him switching positions in the NFL due to how strong he is.
  5. Neptunes produced his lead single...but overall he did need Tim. Timberlake owes his ENTIRE solo career to his producers.
  6. I was one of the people who thought that, but Harden would have for sure adapted.
  7. Just a friendly reminder that EG turned down a Beal for Harden swap.
  8. Otto's value is in the VORPDORPTORPZORP stat. Tops in the league by .31 Seeing the most efficient usage when 3/4 of the court is shaded by the Jumbotron, combined with when Porter has oatmeal with almond butter for breakfast on saturdays.
  9. Which is fine...he's off the books at the end of the year anyways. He's a negative when on the court. If he's out, HOPEFULLY this means we'll actually see Devin Robinson get some minutes.
  10. Beal is the guy to build around, not Wall. I love Wall, too. When healthy, he's top-5 at his position. However, the gap between him and guys like Curry, CP3, etc is VERY wide. On top of it all, for a guy who relies on athleticism/speed, he's approaching 30 and coming off some serious injuries. Doesn't bode well for a guy who isn't the most reliable shooter. I honestly thought there would be a chance Wall could be traded this season if he could stay on the court. New Orleans or Los Angeles were the two teams that I guessed would inquire about his services. Everything is now changed. Best bet would be for Ernie to do everything in his power to trade Otto/Mahinmi and also put out feelers for Beal. He's got to do something to give this team some sort of financial flexibility going forward. They 10000% need to rebuild. Mahinmi is a little tricky because he sucks, so be prepared mentally for EG to attach a future 1st just to get out from that contract.
  11. If he's been dealing with this for years, why not allow him to get the surgery earlier? Unreal that it's even reached this point. However, it's #sowizards
  12. Sheridan doubled down w/ his tweet...he's been hinting at this for a minute.
  13. Blake Griffin was also dealt on a super max AND he was coming off some major off the court issues...Wall's contract will have no bearing on him being moved. I think the team moves Wall and let's Beal become the lead dog. He's under contract for the next 3 seasons, so there's really no rush with him. I think the front office believes moving Wall and letting Beal FINALLY become the man, might actually sway him to change his feeling about the organization. My gut feeling is that Wall/Otto are traded.
  14. Yea...probably more of a point-forward. Someone, in a half-court set, that I'd want to have the ball in their hands. He's a fantastic prospect.
  15. I think Troy Brown is a PG. I wish Brooks would let him have the ball in his hands more often.
  16. Man, that's a FANTASTIC deal from the Lakers. Wizards would be idiots to not make that move. Rid yourselves of Wall's contract, and you get some young/talented controllable pieces back. Now, if the trigger is pulled, I hold off on a Beal trade (unless there's an absolute ridiculous offer on the table) until next season. See how he does by himself as the TRUE lead dog on the team. That may change his perspective on his future here in DC...
  17. Allonzo Trier is gonna be a stud. Kid gets buckets. Honestly, I know PG County is a hotbed of NBA talent, but man...if I'm a GM, I drafting whatever kid is from Seattle.
  18. Austin Rivers is LOATHED. And like @StillUnknown mentioned, he was the dude who had a slip of the tongue and said Wall had a kid on the way. The quotes about dealing w/ this stuff for 7 years? That's 100000% Beal's camp. Too specific.
  19. Agreed. A Walker/Beal pairing would be dynamic. Walker has taken his game to another level this year.
  20. Just saw this... If Beal is the first of the "big" 3 to go, I'll then 10000000% believe it WAS his camp dishing the dirt.
  21. It's either Rivers or Beal's agent/camp. I'm more than inclined to believe that it's the latter, tho. Some of the details regarding quotes from Beal during practice were just a tad bit too specific. Not to mention the leaks to J.Michael about Beal not wanting to be here past his current deal. Sato is about as non-confrontational as Otto. Would NEVER be him.
  22. You trade otto to get rid of that contract. Yes, he's a max player in today's NBA, but for what the Wizards need to do as far as blowing things up, he's gotta go. Just stinks that EG will most likely be the one overseeing this deal. SMH. WCS would be a fantastic addition. A young, skilled big. With Dwight probably never playing another minute for the Wizards this year, might as well get some younger talent on the team at the 5 spot to pair with Bryant.
  23. @@SkinsGoldPants 1. No clue 2. High fashion...I'm sure he really doesn't care about the team on the front 3. High fashion... 4. ? Anyways...here's my take on the Dwight situation. I think he's clearly being extorted. Something may have happened, and he was probably given an outrageous cash ultimatum or else there would be a DEFCON 1 situation, which we saw over the weekend on Twitter.
  24. That might be the biggest TRASH trade I've read involving Beal. No way is he dealt for Gordon, Chirss, Gordon....For Beal, you better be getting a young, RISING asset in return. Not a journeyman big in Chriss who might turn out to be a version of Thomas Robinson.
