  1. NBA > Man...the league is in a GREAT place right now. SO much parity.
  2. This is absurd. Beal is a max player in today's NBA. 2nd best 2-guard in the league and hasn't hit his prime. Dude only averaged 25-5-5 on 47/35/80. On a better team, he IS a game changer. Don't penalize Beal for being stuck on a franchise known more for ineptitude than winning. I think you have both the Lakers and Thunder way too high and the Rockets/Blazers much too low. 8th seed is going to be a dog fight tho...3/4 teams are going to be over .500 by the time the season ends and in contention for that last spot in the West.
  3. As @Hersh said, no one should be above getting traded if the right offer came in. This is a HORRID team. It's expected, but I've got complete trust in M.E. I'm actually paying more attention to guys in the system moreso than in years past.
  4. Goldlink is amazing....but going back to Tyler for a second....The majority of anyone affiliated with Odd Future, ain't for me. And the reason why I said "the majority," is because of The Internet. *Also, which NERD album are you talking about, sir? Sorry about your dog...that really sucks, but I'm not a fan Tyler the Creator. Not my cup of tea.
  5. I dont get his music. I listened to earfquake and apologized to my ears immediately after.
  6. Wall's greatest asset is his passing. His athleticism will for sure take a hit, but his court vision and passing ability will not. There is no reason why he can't put up numbers north of 15/8 when he returns. What he needs to do is contact Jason Kidd and pick his brain as to how he remade his game after his serious knee injury when he hit 30 years old. I'm not worried about Wall's trade value. No contract in the league is untradeable. *Edit* Beal and the Wizards are saying all the right things to the public, but I'd have to believe that both sides are entertaining offers. This is going to be a rough next couple of years, and I don't think Beal would want to waste his prime producing for a 25-35 win team while the rest of his (talented) peers are off competing for championships. I'd say it's a 50/50 chance that he's on a new roster by TC.
  7. Trade rumors about Beal are gonna be flying after the dust settles on this FA period. He's going to be the most sought after commodity in the league. Unless he signs an extension, this is gonna be par for the course.
  8. Honestly, someone like Vince Carter would have been perfect in Brooklyn. I think this BK team will be in the 38-42 win range next year. Kyrie is THAT toxic. Dude is a fake-woke Marbury.
  9. Kyrie gonna ruin that squad. LOL If Kawhi signs w/ LA, then the balance of power will be shifted in the league...however, if he stays in Toronto or goes to the LAC, then things will be wide open for next year.
  10. O's need to stockpile as many assets as they can. EVERYONE should be available on the active roster. There is no one on this team worth keeping for the future.
  11. Wizards will for sure be in that 30-40 win range next year, but there will be some fun prospects to keep an eye on...
  12. I 100% believe that Troy Brown can eclipse what Sato brings. This is part of the reason why I'm OK with him leaving. Why offer him 8-10 mil per year when you have a guy in Brown who can probably do the same things at a better/cheaper rate? I'm ok with spending 12 mil on Parker. Wizards need scoring. He can carve out a niche as a 6th man. Dude is a walking bucket. Sure he has his moments defensively, but he can have a similar impact (scoring-wise) as Lou Will. Outside of Beal, there isn't anyone else on the roster who can create their own offense or shot. Parker JUST turned 24 and there is some upside there. I don't see why he couldn't become a reclamation project in DC off the bench.
  13. NSFW language, but game recognizes game...check out what Lou Will, who is one of the greatest 6th men in the history of the league, has to say about Jermerrio Jones.
  14. Considering how the cap is working against the Wizards, I'd say they made out very well. Remember, they were VERY high on Wagner last year. Now they got him. I don't know a lot about Bonga, but from what I've been reading from Lakers fans, he's got some serious upside. 6'8" PG who's only 19. Jones, he's a tenacious rebounder and defender. But the key in all of this is the 2022 2nd round pick. Shep doing the Lord's work in cleaning up EG's mess and executing a clear plan to acquire young assets in the interim. So far, so good.
  15. Man, listen... I will not get excited about Shep...I will not get excited about Shep...I will not get excited about Shep... Shep doing this job w/ a chip on his shoulder...and that's OK. Dude doing EVERYTHING in his power to show he's not as stupid as EG. Off to a hell of a start so far.
  16. Outside of Beal, there is no one else on the roster who can create their own shot. Bringing Parker back is a no brainer. 2/24 or 3/36 (or 45) should probably get it done. Let Sato/Portis walk, re-sign Parker/Bryant and nab a FA PG like Corey Joseph. That would be a fairly successful start to the FA period.
  17. Tony Wroten is the guy I'm gonna keep an eye on. He might be in serious contention for a guard spot going into the season.
  18. There's A LOT to like about Rui... These clips are only 4-5 years into his basketball CAREER. I'm liking this pick more and more and really think he could turn out to be something special for the Wizards.
  19. Reddish screams project to me. I don't think Brooks is the guy to nurture him along the way over the next 2 seasons (remember ron baker getting minutes over troy brown?) At least with Rui, he's got 3 years NCAA experience playing under one of the better coaches in the country AND he's not going to be nearly as green as Reddish if given big minutes right away. Forgot were I read it, but I saw that the game that put Rui on the map was when he dropped 25 on Jayson Tatum in some exhibition. This was 2 years after he started playing the sport.
  20. He was like historically bad...obviously that doesn't mean he can't turn into a good pro, but he had more red flags than Rui LOL. Wizards are in no position to draft reaches. They need guys who can come in and contribute from day 1. IF this thing ever gets turned around 2-3 seasons from now, those guys we just drafted need to still be on the roster getting heavy minutes.
  21. Dude talking about the party zone (in that thread of clips) at VC eventually being filled to watch Reddish next to Beal. Does he not understand the impact GLOBALLY that Hachimura will have? The wave of Japanese fans will be far greater (now) for Rui than it would be for Reddish.
