My feeling on this topic: the climate is changing in a manner that can be at least partially explained by human intervention. It is also worth taking the time and resources to preserve our environment. I'm not sure that the planet will be uninhabitable in 5-10 years like Gore figured though. There's a lot of sensationalism there, but a nugget of (inconvenient) truth as well. So I guess I'm somewhere in the middle.

I got this big quart of beer the other day called Mississippi Mud Black and Tan. Cost me $3.50 and actually is somewhat competent. I'd take it over any widely distributed beer and the price was definitely right. From what I can tell, I got a really good deal with that price. More expensive was a $10 bottle of Anderson Valley Bourbon Barrel Stout. It was outstanding.

I have a cable subscription because it's packaged cheap with my internet, but I made it through last year with hardly any TV. Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime have been an effective trio for me, but the real kicker is the magic of HDMI. Get a really long cord off of Amazon for cheap and put your computer by your TV (assuming it has a port) and just stream everything you watch. You'll save hundreds a month and be able to watch anything you want to, including all sports. I've been doing that for years. The drop in quality is, of course, noticeable. If it were any other FO, I would say Stephenson is in play with Dallas looking at Chandler, the Lakers no longer a threat and Indiana lowballing him. But, it's us. I'm surprised we were even aggressive enough to nab Gasol. The way Houston's offseason is going, maybe they'll make us a good deal. lololol

In the NBA, half the league makes it to the playoffs, so it's stupidly easy to get there and fail in the first or second round. Players and entire franchises have built their legacies around doing just that. I can't believe a Wizards fan is shooting his mouth off because their team won one playoff series. I mean, I get that the Wizards are on the way up, but there's no reason to attack Bulls or Heat fans and act like their teams are garbage in comparison. Honestly, all three teams are probably going to be roughly on the same level next season.

It's going to look like Marlins Park when the Heat play next year. I'm happy with the Decision.

The breakdown in your logic is that the criteria makes no sense. You criticize Jordan for never beating any teams that "knew how to win championships" when the Bulls themselves won 6 of 8 championships from 91-98. What room did the Jazz, Blazers, Sonics, etc. really have to dominate? All you can go on is stats and the 96-99 Jazz were excellent in that regard, as mentioned before. Certainly they pass the eye test as a great team that gave the Bulls a number of scares.

Except for the #3 seed Lakers in 1991, Jordan's Bulls played the #1 seed in every one of their championships. What more do you want? If you're talking about easy roads to the championship, look no further than this year's Heat team. They were coddled all year in the pathetic east and got handled by a real team.

This Spurs team is brilliant and they have been all season. It would have been closer than this lopsided series, but they definitely would have beaten the Heat last year. The efficiency alone...what team can match that in the NBA right now?

Yep. When it's that lopsided, who can bring themselves to care? The NFL and NHL playoffs are so much more entertaining at this point than the NBA playoffs are, at least up until the conference finals when the league's 3-4 really talented teams meet up.

Absolutely a hottie. She looked good in Taxi Driver too, but she had that business woman chic going. In Last Picture Show she was a total girl next door and it was hot as hell. Thanks for the rec, I've been wanting to watch Paper Moon for a while.

The Last Picture Show...really sad film, but the nudity and teenage antics balance out the bleakness of the setting. It's like a moody, atmospheric American Pie. I really enjoyed it. Plus, Cybill Shepherd was so, so very hot back then.

Mad Men just ended, but Louie and Game of Thrones thankfully continue.

Now that the Wizards have beaten my Bulls, I'm totally cool with them winning it all. Rooting for them the rest of the way, hoping now for an unlikely but awesome Wiz/Thunder final.
