  1. Been my mantra since the 2021 offseason...whoever ends up being center, just please help lead the team to wins. Don't give two ****s about how pretty they look--would rather win ugly than lose pretty. Alex Smith had winning records on every team he played for over each of his last 9 seasons...he obviously brought something to the game that helped lead to wins, and he brought it consistently no matter who his teammates or coaches were. I respect that and appreciated it while he was here...I appreciate the same with Heinicke (so far, anyway lol).
  2. Did the Commanders media team increase the sound of the crowd here (or insert fake crowd noise) or was the stadium actually this loud?...I literally thought "Oh, that's fake crowd noise" at first but thought I'd ask here, if anyone attended the game that is... Also to ask: did Wentz show this much, um, "enthusiasm" after the opening win? Anyone remember? I have to admit as a fan I enjoy seeing it...kinda brings you into the game--even if it's after the game ends lol--instead of just observing the game. But when they put it in his hands he delivered 👇 Only 1 TD in the 2nd half...and I think the yardage might be a little high...was thinking he had like 47 yards in the 1st half. Then again the 161 might not include sack yardage that would be removed from the total yardage. EDIT: as @Conn pointed out to me, the NFL does not subtract sack yardage...and I just realized the 47 1st half yardage total I was thinking of was for Rodgers lol...so your stats were right (outside of the 2 TDs).
  3. I agree with the P.I. suggestion...when it comes to something as out of the blue and unusual as this I don't' think hiring someone to find out where she is and if she appears to be doing OK is excessive. It provides peace of mind, and in a worst-case-scenario it could stop something serious from happening.
  4. Did we even have a RG and RT on this play? lol...jeebus. ********
  5. I'm still thinking it's more Rivera and Turner than Heinicke...Wentz looked pathetic in the first half of 4 of his 6 starts as well. Two different QBs with two different talent levels, same 1st half results. Rivera and Turner are the common denominators.
  6. Next Gen stat of the game: Taylor Heinicke and Terry McLaurin connected for a 37-yard touchdown, a play that had a 19.8% chance of success. It was McLaurin's 11th career reception with a completion probability under 25%, which is tied for the most in the NFL since 2019 with the Chargers' Mike Williams. https://www.nfl.com/news/2022-nfl-season-week-7-what-we-learned-from-sunday-s-games
  7. "We're gonna win the divis--ok, no we're not. But it's nice to be happy." LOL...
  8. "Can the Colts fix their offense? Against teams that don't have dominant defensive fronts, the Colts likely have enough firepower to make things tough on opponents. But when they fail to win up front, as they did on Sunday, it's easier for a defense to neutralize receivers Michael Pittman Jr., Alec Pierce and Parris Campbell. Their problems are fundamental: an offensive line that is playing at an unacceptable level and a quarterback who is shrinking in the face of the resulting pass rush. How do you fix that?" - ESPN
  9. Ok, so we scored 23 instead of 28...still kinda close... (wonders if anyone buys that I predicted us to win lol)
  10. You don't have any idea if there's any evidence because you don't play...the WRs and TEs catching the ball do and they would notice. I already said this earlier, that fans arrogantly believe that if they can't notice it from their couches then it's irrelevant. The NFL uses radar guns top measure velocity, not the "eye test"...maybe velocity increases from 52 mph to 54 mph...will fans notice that difference? Will the WRs?
  11. I've never blown off what a player or coach says when they don't agree with what I believe...ever. Not while they're currently on the team. I've never treated their words as irrelevant, unless those words contradict their earlier statements. The "What do you expect them to say?" response has always been lazy in my eyes, and I've said so numerous times...it's essentially just saying "I don't believe you". For me, who really gives a **** if you don't believe them...explain why are they're wrong. And the thing is, what Terry said matches what numerous different players and coaches over the decades have said--that throwing velocity can indeed be improved. So why should I give the same validity and weight to a fan saying "No it can't"? I've also ridiculed the infamous fan "eye test" rhetoric numerous times as well. Which ties into this discussion, unfortunately.
  12. Me personally?...I'd rather listen to what Terry has to say than listen to fans.
  13. The other guy may have been referring to this stuff: Heinicke suffered a season-ending elbow injury in Week 16 for the 2018 Carolina Panthers and suffered a separated shoulder in the playoffs for Washington last season. That injury history puts Heinicke and Washington a precarious position for the rest of the season. Starting with the Giants, Heinicke needs to show he can play smarter and avoid taking unnecessary hits — and Washington‘s porous offensive line needs to demonstrate that it can block for him upfront. “He doesn’t need to put himself in harm’s ways,” Rivera said of Heinicke. “I think that’s one of the things if you watched the way he played (before) — he’s learning to be patient and take what’s given to him.”
  14. I mean, Black Mamba's daughter did survive in the movie...
