Ron is bizarrely honest and open sometimes. To the point of looking like a simpleton. You know Harris is taking notes -- while adding more names to his next coach list. And of course some of the players hate EB's style -- it was no secret that many of the players in KC did. It's one of the many things that kept EB from getting a chance elsewhere and it's why Andy leaned on Ron to give him a chance. Between going with Howell and hiring EB, Riverboat has really made some wild bets.

Rapinoe shouldn't been on roster. And putting her in was the worst move since Ron went to Wentz for the Cleveland game. Oof. Japan would have worked us, but still a tough way to go.

Ron, Jason...they seem to be engaged in some Game of Thrones stuff, where they are doing their best to be the one that sticks around. Like it's clear Ron won't even engage when asked about him. Latest Jason Reid article slobbering over Eric B (leaving out pretty much every question mark) was all sourced from Jason. No mention of Ron. It's clear if Jason is part of the story, Ron wants nothing to do with it. Must be a blast in the building when they cross paths. The funny thing is, Harris is smart. There's no game to win here. They will both be gone sooner than later barring something undeniable, like a great run under Howell. If that happens, I think Ron uses whatever juice he has -- and even then it won't be much -- to get Jason out. -
Everybody keeps saying how much better Howells looks than Wentz did in camp last year. Which is nice.... except not everybody was saying Wentz looked bad last year. A lot of "up and down, but man the arm", etc... The narrative that he was bad... it was not one. I do remember Logan Paulsen souring on him and he's probably the most high on Howell so maybe that's good.

Yep, odds are Harris is going to clean house. It's the smart move. Ron knows this. Guess he's rolling the dice that EB and Howell will surprise and Harris will stick with it. They better look at least decent in week 1. If not, expect a lot of stories about how Harris put out feelers to Sean Payton, something we have all forgot.

My wife started a new job a few years ago and got an assistant that came over from another exec in a different department. "He's so great," she was told. "You are so lucky to be getting him." Well, right away she figured out he was not great, and that he had been passed about from vet exec to new exec over and over. The company didn't want to fire him because they were scared of a lawsuit over some nonsense. This has been my fear with Eric B. That Andy Reid dumped him off on Ron. Hope I'm wrong, but early returns are far from promising. He appears to yell a lot. Did that at Colorado too, where his offense was historically inept.

Jim Irsay is rapidly replacing Snyder as worst owner in the league. Poor Colts fans. But lucky us!
