  1. Ron has to win -- no more classic 500 Ron -- in order to survive. He has to know this. For this reason, barring Sam looking head and shoulders better in camp, I'm thinking Ron will pivot to Jacoby as we get closer to opening day. And yes, the Howell comparison to Purdy was stupid. Different players in different situations. Sigh.
  2. Yep. And it could end with "My offer is this. Nothing."
  3. Dan trying to outsmart Bezos or whatever he thinks he's doing is so on brand. He's always had it all figured it out. Like when he never truly hired a real GM and let them make decisions during his whole tenure. Nope, he always had a better, smarter way and boy did it pay off!
  4. The fact that Danny has to sell is truly amazing. He doesn't want to... he HAS to. And not because he is getting voted out. But because he can't afford to own the team anymore. NFL teams print money and this guy is somehow a billion in debt WITHOUT building a new stadium. Remarkable. Even if he clears a few billion, with his track record, he'll somehow die poor.
  5. My whole family lives in Philly now. Sister married a diehard Philly sports fan. Harris has a GREAT rep. We should be thrilled with this. And LOL at the conspiracy stuff. He's a hometown guy -- as is his biggest partner. So they're going to buy a football team worth far more than the Sixers so they can keep the franchise down and keep Philly fans happy? I swear, Snyder has made folks crazy. And there's also this weird thing where people don't seem to fully grasp just how bad of an owner Danny has been. He took one of the four best franchises in the league and turned it into a dumpster fire. If the new owner INTENTIONALLY tried to do a bad job like Socalskins hilariously fears, he still couldn't do a worse job than little Danny did.
  6. Mayfield has no upside. He is so limited physically -- he's Taylor with a better arm but no athletic ability.
  7. Taylor could run an offense. He could win -- and lose -- games for you. And the team loved him. If he had to play, he proved -- twice -- that he could at least keep you in the hunt. A backup like that is harder to find than many of you think. And I don't have any faith in Ron's view on QBs. Not sure how anyone could. Should be interesting to see what happens. If I'm Ron, I'm overpaying if need be for a solid backup. And the list is getting short. Anyone who is pushing Teddy Bridgewater clearly hasn't seen him play recently.
  8. Sounds like 4 to 5 million a year. That's nothing. Anyway, I'm sure Ron and company will get this right. I mean, there's no reason to doubt this FO and coach when it comes to QB's right?
  9. Taylor is over 500 as a starter. The game is not too big for him -- where it is too big for so many guys with way more physical talent. His fans overrate him and his critics underrate him. I totally get why Ron and company want to bring him back.
  10. This idea that the owners don't have the votes is hilarious. You think if Danny refuses to sell for 6 billion they all just sit back and take it? Outside of Keim, who never says anything he isn't sure of, the reporting on this sale has been a joke.
  11. Love it. Pay the guys who perform. Also, pretty clear Ron doesn't think Chase has a massive extension in him.
  12. NY Post article is coming from Danny boy, I think. The "they don't have the votes" thing strikes me as something no one knows, but little Danny wants to be true just to save face.
  13. He definitely is. I mean, he admitted liking Snyder. That was the giveaway.
  14. A backup level deal... exactly what is that nowadays? 3 mil a year? 7 to 10? I don't even care if Taylor is back, but without him Ron would be gone.
  15. I think Ron wants Taylor back, but doesn't want to pay him. And Taylor is probably miffed that winning more games than he lost as a starter and basically keeping Rivera employed led to him being benched for Carson Wentz and now a most likely lowball contract offer to stay.
  16. Based on Dan's past, Dan not wanting to sell to Bezos obviously means Bezos would be the best thing to happen to Washington.
  17. I don't prefer Fertitta either, but the idea that he could be worse than Snyder is absurd. A literal turd would be better than Danny.
  18. Head of FBI saying it was probably a lab leak is wild. Hey, China. How bout a few trillion each? Sincerely -- the world.
  19. There's a reason Jerry is the one owner who likes Snyder. Oh, also Captain Handy Bob Kraft. Heard they just loved being on the yacht with the Snyders. "Danny boy, go fix us another drink. We'll keep Tonya company."
  20. I like how Danny clearly got blonde highlights. Looking good, stud!
  21. If he doesn't sell willingly, how could they not vote him out? It wouldn't just be an embarrassment -- it would look like Goodell is covering his own actions up.
